  • Although the film consequently depicts families of extreme standards, it still shows the tendencies of Swedish society. The ultra-strict family, now almost extinct as it was when the film was made, the hippie-like mother, irresponsible and seemingly with less maturity than her kids. Yet it captures, although somewhat unrealisticly, the reality for many young women of Sweden today. Not half as well as 'Fucking Åmål' but good enough to be worth a look.
