A group of astronauts gain superpowers after a cosmic radiation exposure and must use them to oppose the plans of their enemy, Doctor Victor Von Doom.
The machine Reed constructs that recreates the storm and restore them to normal is influenced by the Telepods from The Fly (1986). The film is about a scientist whom undergoes a genetic mutation, when an experiment goes wrong.
Typical of Victor Von Doom to build a 30 foot statue of himself.
When Sue goes invisible for the first time on the bridge, she has high heeled boots on, as she disrobes... her feet are bare but she didn't take off her shoes nor is there any sight of them when Johnny picks up her clothing from the road.
The Marvel Comics logo features comic-book images of the Fantastic Four in its pages; it's also shaded blue, the uniform color of the Four.
The extended cut released in the US is basically the previously released modified version with the addition of the deleted scenes that were presented as bonus material on some European DVD editions (first US DVD release included just a few of these scenes).
