Holly Sullivan is Julia Sullivan's cousin. At the beginning of the movie we hear someone say that Julia is "Holly Sullivan's cousin."

Because both Holly and Julia share the same last name, each of their fathers being brothers is the simplest possible connection.

Basically there's only one difference between both versions: a nearly four minute dialogue scene between Rosie and Robbie.
