  • second part of series, mixture of ironic view about Comunist regime ambitions in village universe and few slices of propaganda, nice comedy, in fact, it is a window to a Romanian contemporary page. this status saves it from originally purpose and does it almost seductive ball of memories, childish situations and meeting with good cast. after years and years, it seems be a kind of shadow for a period with its too absurd rules. like an old picture, it suggest more than present. naive and strange, funny and strange, it could be a small testimony about atmosphere from a dictatorship. and, maybe, only the hard work of each actor to save a not real inspired script does it more than an example of good intentions.

a nice film. this is the first word about a film who continues the adventures in a Romanian village, becoming, decade by decade, more seductive. because it is a comedy but, in essence, in the passing time, a testimony. about a hypocrite and simple world. about relationship, mentalities, clash of perspectives about reality and Communism rules. and if the first part was saved by the basic idea of script, the second has the virtue to be saved by the cast. for the admirable irony, for the manner to discover new manners to view the social critic, for the delicate romanticism and, sure, for the realistic - amusing portrait of the war between women and men. and for the memories. the great virtue - to impose to the memory of public two great characters - Varvara and Todiraș. and the air of Viișoara, present in few village same fresh and strange like in 1977.
