I Laughed Till' I Cried
This is the show about the four foul mouthed little kids in Colorado. Well, three now, with different kids rotating in and out to fill the spot that Kenny left.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker are comedic geniuses. I think that people who simply brush this off as uninspired pandering to foul mouthed kids like the ones in this show aren't looking deep enough. There is actually a lot of intelligent social commentary here - it's just masked under anything they could possibly offend someone with.

Trivia

The character of Mr. Hat is based on a children's story book character called High Hat, which is a puppet that teaches children the letters of the alphabet.

Quotes

Randy Marsh: If Saddam Hussein is making weapons then we have to stop him... with our weapons.

Goofs

In early seasons, whenever the children enter the cafeteria and Chef greets them with the "Hello there children!" line, notice his name on his apron is spelled in lowercase 'chef', but the next scene when he is speaking with the children, and the focus is on him behind the servery, notice his name is spelled in uppercase 'CHEF'.

Crazy Credits

This warning appears at the beginning of every episode: ALL CHARACTERS AND EVENTS IN THIS SHOW--EVEN THOSE BASED ON REAL PEOPLE--ARE ENTIRELY FICTIONAL. ALL CELEBRITY VOICES ARE IMPERSONATED.....POORLY. THE FOLLOWING PROGRAM CONTAINS COARSE LANGUAGE AND DUE TO ITS CONTENT IT SHOULD NOT BE VIEWED BY ANYONE

Alternate Versions

There is a persistent rumor that, in the "Big Gay Al" episode, the line "And these South Park Cows are being absolutely molested by Middle Park. I haven't seen so many children since..." was initially followed by "since Michael Jackson came to town". This rumor is entirely unfounded; numerous tapes made of the episode as broadcast prove this, and nobody has yet to offer any actual evidence to the contrary other than memory. Despite this, the rumor persists.
