  • Porno takeoffs on popular TV shows have flooded the market in recent years, constituting the lion's share of "storyline" XXX production. This forerunner with the catchy title from the '80s is infinitely better and definitely worth a look.

Satirical format effectively makes fun of the regimented format of daytime soap operas -right down to the camera angles, endlessly boring verbal exposition of convoluted plot, and naturally the hothouse romantic elements (which are so often present in porn anyway). Going further, it also adopts a BOOB TUBE structure which pretends to be an evening of programming at Channel 69 on EBC, the Erotic Broadcasting Company. This permits frequent and sometimes clever spoofs of TV commercials by a separate cast credited as The Almost Ready for the Big Time Comedy Troupe.

Some of the best sexual and comedy performances are contributed by Buffy Davis as a busty young doctor who here closely resembles the young Melanie Griffith. Honey Wilder is strong as usual portraying a murder suspect; Tammy White is ultra-busty in several roles including Teal the hit lady. Candy Evans is most unconvincing as an undercover cop working out in Spandex.

The fact that there is a real script used here, sometimes with actually funny lines will come as a shock to fans who have become used to improvised and sniggering dirty talk passing for humor in porn. The rapid-fire end credits crawl is repeated a couple of times and includes an uncredited (but obvious) Ebony Ayes listed as "Abundancy Jones" playing herself. Most misleading acting credit is "Serena", not the all-time great but rather attractive but dissimilar looking Rachel Ryan.
