  • British HOOKERS HOLIDAY is no more than the usual stringing together of stag films to make a feature. I doubt if if it was a direct-to-video 1981 release as listed in IMDb since the source material for Something Weird's reissue was supposedly one of those movie prints shown at the Dragon Art Theatre, but in any event the young actors on view date the source material as early '70s.

There are six segments narrated by a purportedly British (never mind the Aussie accent) prostitute pretending we're watching flashbacks. Exterior footage outside a tenement on the Lower East Side is authentic enough, shot way before gentrification took over.

The director Sid Roth is best known for another paste-up job THE PRIVATE PLEASURES OF JOHN C. HOLMES which lurks as a footnote in film history for its only XXX gay sex scenes involving the Waddmeister. HOLIDAY however is not worth much mention.

The dialog is dubbed but without lip movements, the silent stag loops having been shot MOS. The beautiful Tina Russell provides a highlight humping Marc Stevens in a bathtub, while forgotten Oriental actress Peonies Jong is striking in a couple of segments, one opposite an extremely youthful Eric Edwards.

With a roster of so much NYC porn talent, all of whom have done far better work elsewhere, this amounts to little more than a 42nd St. Pete mishmash fortunately without Pete's b.s. introduction.
