    Top .
Swat Kats was one of my favourite TV shows as a child , now I am 21 years old. I loved those two , T-Bone & Razor were my heroes . I think every kid should be subjected to the Swat Kats at an reasonable age so that he could enjoy the spark , the imagination of Hanna Barbera's comics. Anyway , enough with that.

The vote is 9 ( the bad cancellation destoryed a perfect ten in my view )

Mutation City was an awesome episode , Dr. Viper really showed MegaKat City his best tricks , including the moment T-Bone starts to transforme into a reptile .

Brilliant Dark Kat wanted to destroy Megakat City to create a new lawless town called "Dark Kat City". What can I say ? There were unique & inspirational .
  • While being less impactful on me in the character department, I liked the action and the atmospheric design of Megakat City and the many badguys surrounding it.

And while the main characters T-Bone and Razor are likable heroes we sadly don't get much interaction bonding them together even though we see their work as mechanics when not fighting crime.

I understand it has a dedicated fan base, and that's great, but as it is I who review it not having any connection to the show, I didn't think it was that gripping aside from design and atmosphere.
  • The show Swat Kats was just amazing.. Me and my friends used to come back from school and just wait for the show to start... Its was half an hour of pure entertainment, with the exception of the commercial break... Cartoonnetwork must bring back these shows that are/were/and will be suitable for all age groups... The story of 2 simple mechanics living in their dump yard, making their own jet and going through immense training, just to stop evil at its roots... The show was a mixture of both humor and action.. T-bone and Razor were the best tag team in the world.. I wish cartoonnetwork goes back to its former glory and telecast shows that everyone will watch and love.. I hope Hanna-Barbera comes up with new ideas to restart the telecast of the TV series the whole world loved...
  • I have watched SWAT Kats the Radical Squadron since they first come out and I have all of the episodes on tapes galore. They need to be put back on the air because they were a better cartoon then some of the other stuff that presently airs on Cartoon Network. The SWAT Kats' show had terrific music, and the characters were so complex that many people could think of their origins and how they were. The episodes were intense, mysterious, action packed and scary in some of them. Each episode had a moral and was great for children to watch. Robert Alvarez needs to make more episodes of them and keep them alive, that's all they need is more episodes and they would be one of the biggest hits on Cartoon Network if Ted Turner wasn't stupid enough to knock them off.

I loved Hanna Barbera cartoons. Swat Kats was one of the excellent shows of Hanna Barbera Productions.

Hanna Barbera studio didn't get a chance to finish those unfinished episodes, because of the sudden cancellation. Rough Drawings and other props of Unfinished episodes are still in the Hanna Barbera studio (now at Warner Bros).

What I loved about this show was the limitations of the characters. The limitations of the characters gave the show a realistic feel although it takes place in an anthropomorphic world. With Batman in Batman Animated Series, Batman (with or without the support of others) will be able to solve the problem in 22 minutes. That is not the case with SWAT Kats.

T-Bone is a great pilot and he knows every detail about flying a plane and he is also an expert in driving cars. But he is not a sureshot like Razor and he doesn't have the experience like Razor does in technologies. Razor knows how to fly the plane. But he is not as good as T-Bone and he doesn't have the experiences like T-Bone has in terms of flying a plane. This is the same thing that can be applied to Callie Briggs. With Callie, she goes out of her way to strongly support SWAT Kats and also save SWAT Kats from danger (Night of the Dark Kat) despite her limitations in fighting. In order to save SWAT Kats, Callie goes to the point where she is willing to marry the villain The Pastmaster (Episode "The Deadly Pyramid"). She also has strong emotional attachment towards SWAT Kats (Katastrophe) which makes her even more special

Through The Dark Side of the SWAT Kats, we learn that the existence of SWAT Kats also completely depends on Callie. If there are good SWAT Kats, then there will be a Good Callie. And when there are Dark SWAT Kats, then there will also be Dark Callie. This makes her character as important as T-Bone and Razor are.

With Commander Feral, He does have the efficient quality of being a commander. But he doesn't use it properly. His corrupt nature drives him to fire a brilliant pilot like Chance and a brilliant sure shot like Jake and he lets a corrupt Lieutenant like Steele be in charge when he is not around. This drives Megakat city to extreme level of danger.

With his niece Felina Feral, She is a great fighter. She also helps SWAT Kats in their investigations. But I feel that Callie is stronger and more interesting than Felina.

Felina is like Ann Gora of Kats Eye News. Ann Gora is truly dedicated to her job - an honest reporter at Kats Eye News. That is the same case with Felina who is also truly dedicated to her job - honest, brave, and hard working lieutenant. But not more than that. With Callie, She can also stand and strongly oppose against Feral for his opposition against SWAT Kats (Episode "Metal Urgency"). But with Felina, she can only persuade her Uncle Feral that SWAT Kats are good (Episode "Razor's Edge").

Despite the limited appearances, Dr. Aby Sinian (played by Linda Gary) is a strong supporting character. Despite his laziness, Mayor Manx allows Callie Briggs to run the city properly. This provides Callie Briggs the opportunity to support and save SWAT Kats. The villains in this show are extremely destructive. This makes the show very interesting. Strong villains usually make the stories more interesting.

Glenn Leopold's fast paced writing style and Lance Falk's plot twists made the show very interesting to watch. On the top of that, the show has a wonderful animation with Studio Mook animating most of the episodes and some by Han Ho Heung Up and this show also has wonderful music.

My personal favourite Swat Kats episode is "A Bright and Shiny Future".

Despite its abrupt cancellation, the show is still memorable among many fans and I hope the show will continue to remember among fans as one of the greatest works of art.
  • This has got to be my favourite cartoon of all time. I had to watch reruns on power zone's midnight run recently, but it was worth staying up for the swat kats.

It has great music, cool characters, witty dialogue, lots of action and is just a really slick show overall. The artwork on was very good - right from razor and t-bone to the jet to the whole look of mega-kat city.

Mega Kat City was disaster prone, but swat kats managed to be cartoonish and suitable for kids without degenerating into the silliness or stupidity. It never failed to be funny and stylish.

I wish I could find it somewhere on DVD to buy.
  • since there tragic death i have noticed that cartoons took a turn for the worse even while i was still a kid i was a huge fan of swat cats and they now show the episodes on adult swim which is kick ass but anyway the point i was trying to make is whoever is in charge of American cartoons now needs to be shot cause he or she ROYALLY SUCKS BALLS AT MAKING ANYTHING ORIGINAL. dexters laboratory is a prime example of a GREAT CARTOON GONE BAD and before i continue THANK GOD swat kats was never altered by this sucessor if u can even call it that. now back to what i was talking about dexters laboratory was a great show for many years every episode was original and great but when someone else took over the quality of the show went strait to hell and dexters laboratory became a bag of crap.

BOTTOM LINE SWAT KATS WAS A GREAT SHOW SOMEONE REVIVE HANNA AND BARBERA >.<
  • It was around, I think late summer, early fall last year, that they were showing Reruns of this cartoon on Boomerang, and because I saw something rather familiar when I saw my sister watching it, I decided to watch too, and I couldn't believe it, a show that I used to love as a kid, a show that I had forgotten so much about after all these years, A rush of all my memory just fills my mind. I decide to watch to see if I will still like it, or if it will turn out cheesy and be one of those "I cannot believe I used to like this crap" scenarios.

I watched, and I loved. This is definitely an animated show for almost all ages to enjoy, it is not at all childish, but then again not so risqué either. It's just perfect. Sure people, or shall I say Anthropomorphic Cats are shot at, killed, beat up or blown up, its not bad for kids aged 8 and up. The Animation is well done, It may come off as one of those American shows that tries to be an anime, but it does so with honor, it's something different and I really do believe it deserves to be adapted into an animated film. I love this show, I love the Characters, and most of all, I love that kickass Turbokat fighter jet that T-Bone & Razor fly. This is not a cartoon: It's a innovative piece of animation... supirior to Thundercats, I can't believe it was not as successful!
  • The discontinual of swat-kats on cn has been a big disappointment.Back in the day when i was in elementary school, all the kids i knew(the whole school) used to discuss swat-kats n show off our action figurines with the same enthusiasm today's toddlers display for pokemon n dbz.Had swat kats been made a regular it would have achieved cult status in no time.Creativity was abundant with the swat-kats team. Wish cartoon network persuades its creator to create new seasons of the programme as it is their trp's that would be boosted in a big way by this move.Let's face it.The swat kats rocked.I would watch re-runs today even though i remember every episode n dialogue clearly. That's the magic that many of today's animated show's can't recreate n swat kats could.PERIOD.
  • Not that they have much competition. Even as a kid, I though SWAT Kats was one of the best cartoons ever. How could they cancel such an excellent series after only 2 short seasons? With the possible exception of the serious Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon & War Planets/Shadow Raiders, this is the #1 show I would have saved from cancellation. This was a really good series, one of the only shows to not have even 1 bad episode. Every episode was thrilling. The characters were well thought out & the stories were interesting. The action was intense, which is what I like in my cartoons. The voice-acting was top-notch, every character had a fitting voice. The animation was excellent & has some of the best in-show music I have ever heard. Even the theme song was awesome, particularly the one used for season 2. I still have 6 episodes recorded from a marathon on a tape, & it is a well-used tape for sure. The episodes are The Giant Bacteria, The Metallikats, The pastmaster Always Rings Twice, Unlikely Alloys, The Dark Side of the SWAT Kats, & Cry Turmoil/SWAT Kats Unplugged. But you know what we really need? A DVD of this marvelous show. Warner Brothers, please release this instead of all those dumb old Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Actually, I do like a couple of them, but even the best one couldn't hold a candle to the SWAT Kats.

BOTTOM LINE: 10/10 -Tied with War Planets & Sonic the Hedgehog for 4th best cartoon ever.
  • Set in the futuristic metropolis of Megakat City, two wrongfully demoted fighter pilots named Jake and Chance are removed from the paramilitary guardians, the Enforcers, and forced to take a demeaning salvage job by the vindicative superior Commander Feral. While the two initially loathe the prospect of their situation they soon decide to use the military salvage to fashion together a custom fighter jet and use it to protect the city as costumed vigilantes T-Bone and Razor from criminals, aliens, and a host of supervillains.

Running from 1993 to 1994, Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron was one of several animal based superhero shows that appeared on the airwaves which fell well within the lines of products of the time (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Extreme Dinosaurs, Street Sharks, Biker Mice from Mars, etc.). Swat Kats takes this familiar premise and makes it engaging through well-choreographed action sequences and striking animation that can't help but capture eyes with its aggressive geometry, fluid movement, and harsh lighting that scream 90s "extreme" (rather apropos for a title with "radical" in its name). The show was unfortunately cancelled after its 2nd season, but not for the reason people think. While concern over violence in children's TV and Ted Turner's wife at the time, Jane Fonda, were rumored to have played part in the show's demise in actuality it was late moving on merchandising contracts and tie-ins with the show that were only initialized far too late for Hanna-Barbera to justify further seasons so the show became a victim of short sightedness from the marketing department who couldn't recognize the toyetic and merchandising appeal of the show....one of the most callous and cynical reasons to cancel a cartoon, but that's business. The show is undoubtedly fun, but I think its reputation supersedes its actual quality.

The star of the show first and foremost is the action. Swat Kats despite having the standard "lazer gun" setpieces designed to make children's action shows less real rather uncharacteristically for a show like this has actual consequences to its action sequences. In the monster of the day plots, while nothing is ever explicitly shown (save for a prison warden whose turned to crystal and shattered) it's clear the monsters and supervillains' collateral damage is more than just "evacuated buildings" that made up shows like Power Rangers or other shows. The show has a distinctive look to it with a look that feels very much inspired by 90s comic books with the city's shading and coloring looking like it wouldn't be too far removed from one of the early Image comics (albeit with better artwork). Season 2 sports a style change that's more angular and utilizing more still images in a very anime-ish style still in line with what's established, but experiments with more striking designs and details.

The actual plot and characters of the show I honestly didn't find all that interesting or memorable. All the villains in this show have memorable designs and voices, but pretty much every villain is just evil for evil's sake. Dr. Viper (who's like Spider-Man's The Lizard with the voice of COBRA Commander) wants to destroy Megacat City and replace it with a swamp because......Dark Kat wants to destroy Megakat City and make Dark Kat City because.... As you can see there's a bit of a pattern to the villains, in that their means are different as are their appearances but there's really not much substance to them, and the ones that do get more established character like Mac and Molly Mange the Metali-Cats are basically one note affairs that are run into the ground way past the point of tolerance. Our heroes are perfectly serviceable with T-Bone serving as the muscle while Razor serves as the brain, but again like our villains of the week there's not much past those traits.

Swat Kats: The Radical Squadron certainly above average for a show of this type given the time it came out and when compared to many of its contemporaries its animation and production values have few if any equals...but why has that earned it such a massive cult following? While the show is unique in that it doesn't pull its punches with its villains doing senseless destruction the show's surface level details alone don't really elevate that far above the writing that was standard for these kinds of shows. Sure Swat Kats looks great, but what else is there? Yes it's unfair that Swat Kats only got 26 episodes while far inferior schlock like Street Sharks got 40, but the show is basically what Star Fox would've been like had it been made by Sega instead of Nintendo, interesting as a novelty but not as a cult show.

The absolute show of shows. It was number one in syndication for its first season, it had strong ratings. Yet some BS at the time about "violence in cartoons" killed it. Then they put Teen Titans on the air from the same basic company under the new owner. TEEN TITANS WAS A LOT MORE VIOLENT! Especially in season four arc! And it was STILL not as good as Swat Kats was. SWAT Kats FOREVER, they need to get it back on the air immediately if not sooner! 24 episodes, and it's still remembered by a heck of a lot of people. It had that kind of staying power. Someone needs to get the license away from the morons at Turner/Warner and get it back going. I can almost GUARANTEE it would still have the audience. Seriously...
  • What an INCREDIBLE show!

Too bad only 2 seasons of episodes were made and it was taken off the air for unknown reasons. I guess some people thought it was a little too mature for the audience of cartoon network.

I remember when I was 15 or so I used to watch the Swat Kats TWICE a day, EVERY day (that's as often as the episodes were shown). I loved it and I was addicted to it! My heart was broken when I found out they're taking it off.

The animation, music, character voices were done incredibly well. The plot was ever - entertaining and written very carefully. It was always solid, never tedious or silly or annoying.

Simply put, it was just a pleasure to watch the Swat Kats - from the beginning scene - the awesome episode opener with the incredible background music - to the very end of every episode with the swat kats kicking tail and saving megakat city.

I loved everything in it - the cool gadgets, the turbokat (swat kats' airplane), the characters...

Well this is getting a bit too long.

Just go and see it if you can find it somewhere!
  • This show is so awesome, that I don't even know where to start! The animation is pure perfection (Mook did a great job in the 2nd season)The music in combination with the action on screen will leave you breathless and stunned. The characters are cool, they can be serious and they can be funny, depending on situation, and they are all lovable. The storyline is just great. Come on! Masked vigilante pilots! And for the piece de resistance, THEY ARE CATS! Tremblays, you're geniuses! The sad part, of course, is it's short on screen life. This show deserved place right next to all the other beloved classics like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, He-Man...Somebody will have to bring them back to life. I just hope that somebody in CN will finally quit doing s**ts like Juniper Lee, Puffyamiyumi...and resurrect this jewel in the dust.
  • It has been 14 years or so since last I watched this gem of a show

Why oh why was this awesome show cancelled after just two seasons? Blame old fashioned Ted Turner for cancelling this show. Shows how ignorant people really can be when it comes to judging children's TV viewing. I didn't see this show as "encouraging kids to kill each other" as he so arrogantly stated but it did spark my life long love for mechanics and gadgets!

I love the deep, complex characters that are still so original and leaves you wondering about their origin and wanting more. The character voices were done well and they did an awesome job with portraying the double life of the two main characters and even made it believable that those two main characters could be mechanics by day and vigilantes by night. I especially found it interesting how the story has a paramilitary police force instead of regular police which would seem illogical since MegaCat City is such a disaster zone. Yet it manages to never explain everything fully so something is left for your own imagination The animation was solid in the first season and amazing in the second; sporting the strangest hybrid style animation I have ever seen. The appearance of MegaKat City and the TurboCat are very original and capturing The musical score was original, amazing and capturing. Definitely the best and most fitting music I have ever heard in a show! The plot is always entertaining and very carefully written so each story is solid, interesting and never repeats itself from earlier episodes. The show was intense, mysterious and action packed. The show had lots of clever puns, witty dialogue and plot hints and was always good for a laugh. Yet it never degenerates into silliness or stupidity, but still manages to be cartoonish enough to be suitable for children

In conclusion: This show rocked 14 years ago and it still does!
  • hell yeah, this is the best cartoon i ever Saw in my childhood. i used to watch these episodes and loved them before i even learned English. damn i looked for this cartoon for so long, all i remembered wast the theme song. and UV got to agree that when it was done, there were no better action cartoons than this one. thank u Hanna Barbara productions... anyway i suggest you watch it i do believe that you will be satisfied god knows i am!!! even now, twelve years later i still think this cartoon kicks ass. for those who don't know anything about Swat Kats then heres the story... two cats (in city of cats) who work at the junkyard , have a jet and they use it to fight crime. although the police doesn't agree with they're tactics, they still id mite that they sometimes need these masked heroes. goodly drawn, fantastic story, what else do you want from a cartoon. all the details are perfect. honestly the greatest cartoon ever

    Warning: Spoilers
i watched this cartoon in 1996, when i was back in Iran. we used to setup a satellite dish in the backyard and cover it with plastic bags, and decorating it with dried leaves and junk so the Islamic police wont find it and put us in jail. i used to watch the turner network channel in the mornings, which swat kats was a part of the morning cartoon network show. i recorded all the episodes just in case we have to remove the dish due to increased risk of being caught by the Islamic police. i now have been living in Canada for 8 year. my standards have changed, but still i watch the episodes that sometimes air on cartoon network here. what more is to tell about how awesome it was, so how come no more episodes? does turner TV makes and funds shows for us viewers, or they put on what ever they want that they might like and agree with, and that way they think they get us to agree with their wrong decision on show cancellation? or maybe it is because they get orderer from somewhere else that swat kats are changing the minds of viewers the way they don't agree with. that is why FOX canceled TITUS. his view didn't agree with a ultra conservative republican network, because it promoted homosexuality and blaming yourself and your parents the way you tuned up. what can i say, maybe it is better to watch less TV, so we don't get hooked this way, and when they cancel the best shows just to screw with us, they cant.

it is sort of like back in Iran. in Iran every movie or TV show made had to be approved by Islamic religious departments, and if it had no radical Islamic message in it, it wouldn't have been aired, and if it was aired and it became more popular than ultra radial Islamic programs, it would have been canceled, its makers jailed, and its performers fired from any media activity forever. this is one of the reasons i got out of Iran. here canceling the show and owing its rights to be aired again is similar to there, good thing they didn't jail swat kats creators.

i, now, in full awareness of mind and body, swear i will be watching less TV and going to less number of movies, so the networks wont have a way of screwing with me.
  • I really like the Swat Kats like heck because its related to the air force's F-14 tomcat which Im going to be when I'm older(fighter pilot) also I wonder what would happen if the Master Chief from halo joined the Swat Kats(still human). Then that would be cool also I would be him and also have the F-22a raptor which would blow the swat Kat's minds away! Then it would air again and I would be Yehaaw! Also he would have all the weapons from halo 1 2 and 3 also I would help the swat Kat's a lot! Anyways call me at this # (661)-298-0711 if you really swear to god like the Swat Kats call me around 2:30 to 5:30 if you like my idea and love the swat Kat's. so consider now!
  • This always reminds of my childhood. Back from school, waiting for this show was unforgettable.. This generation is missing on great contents.

This is another one of my favorite animated shows of all time and once again another show that has flown under the radar. It wasn't really overlooked it did hit the target, but sadly it just didn't hit hard enough and became another slightly forgotten gem.

It's another one of those in the anamorphic sub-genre of animation but it's one of the best in my book. Really like the premise, it's sort of a mix of both "Batman" and "Top Gun" and both are an awesome mix as this show is basically a mix of different genres neo noir, super sentai and gearhead action. The animation is great I really love the use of the dark coloring which make the city a place of mystery as well as danger in almost every corner. But I also like the character animation making the felines humanoid as well as some of the monsters and opposition they must face. Though the best animation peace is the S.W.A.T. jet itself which is just awesome, I'll explain more latter.

The character are cool, the S.W.A.T. Kats duo are awesome they really go together their sort of the brains and brawns dynamic; much like other duos through the years that despite on the fence with each other they work well together like Raphael and Michelangelo from "TMNT" or even Mr.T. and Murdoc from "The A-Team.

Jake/Razor is awesome, he's my favorite character in the show as he's the hot shot aggressive type that is always itching to fight and never backs down. He has some of the best lines along with his buddy.

Chance/T Bone is just as cool. His character is sort of like Donatello, as he's sort of the brainy type. Whom is always coming up with the strategies depending on the situations as well as inventive for the weapons for their jet and ground.

Felina is awesome she's another favorite female animated protagonist, I know that a lot of fans had a crush on the character Calie but for me it was Felena. I always found her hot in physical, professional, and persona. From that white streak on her hair kind of like Rogue from "X-Men" but I love the fact she can kick ass, hold her own against danger so she's not a stereotypical damsel in distress unlike Calie whom is; things like this make me wonder why the hell is Razor wasting time crushing on Calie personally I felt Felina is a better match for him and maybe that would of happened had another season been made. The only disappointments is never seen her wear anything else other than her paramilitary uniform and another is she's not in the show enough which is one weak point of the show, as I said had there been another season maybe we would have had a little more of her.

Even the villains are solid and memorable, my favorite villain in this show is Dark Kat whom is another honorable mention in animated villains. He's sort of the kind of villain/super villain you'd see in Marvel's "Doctor Strange" as he's basically just the typical evil sourcer trying to take over the world, but I don't mind it's really in the execution that makes him stand out as he's fully of menace and memorable lines. I love the fact the S.W.A.T. Kats are pitted against a villain like this which is something different, in a way it's basically the motif on science versus mysticism.

But of course, what really powers the show are some of the stories and the action itself. The stories are suppringly very well written, some of them are typical fun fare however not all of them are fun and games and there are some that are dark and series. One of my favorite episodes is when Razor loses his edge after a disastrous mission that almost got an innocent killed and makes him question weather he's worthy to continue on.

The action is great, from some of the ground assault sequences. But of course, the real high liner is the aerial action, I really love how they captured the illusion of flight perfectly and is just fast hitting action. I remember seeing that jet in action, I wanted to fly that jet. I really love the weapons they use on that jet which are creative and inventive enough to make even Q from James Bond or Batman envious. Like missiles that emit electro wave or other missiles when they detonate expel out a special kind of cement. And plenty of other kinds of weapons I don't want to give away you just have to see them yourself. Really love the battles against some of the giant monsters they are sometimes pitted against, much like the giant battles you would see in "Power Rangers" and "Voltron Legendary Defender".

Even the music is awesome, has a high octane vibe that fits this show, really like both theme songs that are on my honorable mention list of favorite themes but cool all the same.

Personally, I'd love a revival go into darker mature territory, maybe even actually get some depth as to how both our protagonists became jet fighter pilots and became vigilantes. Or even a series of animated movies I see no reason why Hanna Barbara can't it would be a nice break for the company to make a film based on their other properties. Or better yet a comic book continuation from DC Comics since they have some rights to Hanna Barbara, why not; it's a thought anyway.

S.W.A.T. Kats flies high and hits.

    Rating: 4 stars
  • This is the coolest cartoon series I've ever watched.I seen the first episodes in 1995.It was rad.I fell in love with the damn thing. At the time it was the best animated series airing on CN...and I think that 'till today they haven't showed anything so well done. Anyway,a few "ears" later some "eediot"(I don't give names,I think you know very well who am I talking about)decided that the show was too violent or something like that and canceled it. Wake up fellas!!!Put it back on!! What the hell are we , the SK fans supposed to watch? The Powerpuff Girls??.....
  • I love this Series. Please recreate it and upload it again with new Episodes. And make a movie on it. It has huge fane in my country. Let's work on it(swat cat). I Support this Series.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Best Cartoon from my childhood. I miss them very much and wish if some Production House can make a movie based on it or Reboot this series in cartoon series.

I always loved this cartoon because of it's story, character. I like T- Bone and Feral the most as they are most dominating characters of this show.

I wanted to see more of Tunmoil Lady and T-Bone Chemistry. The music of the show is the strongest part of it throughout all episodes and the beginning of the show.

    Love them all !!!

This show was really cool. There was a lot of creativity here, especially in the characters departments. The gadgets were also pretty cool. And the animation... well what can I say? It was simply great and well done. Catch the reruns on the Cartoon Network.
  • Extremely well-rendered cartoon, with good characters. They did a good job with the "double-life" of the main kats: mechanics by day, vigilantes by night (usually). The bad guys could be a bit formulaic, and the show sometimes got a bit tech-happy ("check out THIS weapon"), but for the most part, a good show. It always seemed to be on at the wrong time - way too early, and paired up with "2 Stupid Dogs". Rumor has it Ted Turner caught an episode and ordered it yanked. The final episode was a hastily-thrown-together "best of" show, which was even lamer than most attempts at same. That shouldn't detract from it being remembered as a great series from the early days of the cartoon renaissance.
