The series was dubbed into English by Omni Productions, a Hong Kong-based studio mostly known for their low-rent dubbing work on various other Asian productions, such as certain Godzilla movies and martial arts films. This dub has become infamous among fans due to its mangled translation work, unprofessional-sounding voice works delivered by only a handful voice actors, mispronouncing names or outright renaming characters, and for oftentimes drastically toning down the original dialogue or inserting new bits of inappropriate language like swearing or unintentional innuendos. The dub was mostly available through bootleg tapes, but it has been released on various DVD sets in the West officially, beginning from the early 2000s.
