  • A simple concept - a small group of characters (spouses, friends, etc.) get into it after exposure to a sexy tape. Add in a soundtrack that combines a hilarious Sexeo theme, Atari video game noises, and a whinnying horse, and you have a few chuckles. But some of the scenes are actually hot. The opening scene with Blake Palmer and Heather Wayne is very natural and easy to be caught up in. This is true for all of the scenes featuring the 2 main couples. There's a certain playfulness and an everyday sense of humor - like when Robin Cannes is blathering about tabloid stories and Rick Savage humors her. Or the running joke of Savage describing the sex tape ("oh there will be some kissing, some amourousness"; "it's not X-rated...it's XXX-rated"). The last scene, swapping the two couples, could have been longer, and given better angles than the two sets on separate couches, but does show the chemistry between the core cast.

If there's any real drag on the film, beyond the states-the-obvious narrator, it's the pointless inclusion of an "incest" theme. I assume this was done because this was all the rage in '80s porn, but it really doesn't work here. For one thing, the two characters have one scene, and you wouldn't even know they were related if a voice-over didn't tell you. You don't expect realism, by any means, but the guy who plays the "son" actually looks older than Blake Palmer! Wasn't Tom Byron available? Fortunately their silly coupling is improved when Rick Savage sees them and joins in. The idea of a man with his best friend's daughter is something which could have been developed further, but the one quick scene between them works great, thanks to Savage and Bunni Bleu. I would call Savage the MVP of this film - he fits effortlessly into the idea of a sleazy middle-class suburb sexcapade, he's a decent enough actor to make a paper thin story work, and he has tons of chemistry with every woman in the film.

Made when VHS was replacing theatrical porn in the marketplace, "Sexeo" is the title of a magical porn tape, given to the owner of a failing Adult Video store who is treated to the title as a present from a leprechaun-type character who feels sorry for him after sharing cups of cocoa; next stop for the Irish fellow is Detroit to help out the struggling Lions football team.

Tape proves to be an instant aphrodisiac for all the characters, highlighted by it instigating incest for youthful brother and sister Greg Rome and Bunny Bleu, joined by family friend Rick Savage for a threesome.

Sexiest babe in the cast is busty Robin Cannes. Knowing screenplay emphasizes the problems of poor quality VHS product, as store owner reacts disparagingly to a stack of crummy cassettes, including the oxymoronic title "The Best of Troy Benny".
