  • This is actually one of the best TV show out there. yes, if you start watching it right now, you'll have a lot of difficulty to understand, but i followed this series through the years, and it only becomes better and better. its easy to love or hate some characters, and feel for them. its very well-written, and its full of real emotions.

All the subjects are talked about clearly, and it's subject that can touch anyone.

and i know someone said this show would probably end soon... well that person wrote that in 2005, and the show is still running... I think this is going to last a long time :)
  • I like this show.

It's well written, well developed. Ther are many stories that intertwine, but unlike many other shows, stories do not drag and feel boring.

True, the show has grown quite "darker" with age, but is that not a natural progression? This show deals head on with social issues such has Organized Crime, Pedophilia, Rape, Kidnapping, Suicide, Racism, Drug Addiction, Obsession and the Power of the Press.

All this from a show about a High School.

The only real bad thing is that it's hard to become a fan of the show, at this point. Not that it matters, cause the show will probably end soon.
  • Since 1996, this series has evolved quite a bit. I see some episodes now and then, but I've discovered that the TV Hebdo is a much better tool to view the series. In two lines per episode, it gives us all the significant " punches " to enable us to follow Virginia well.

I noticed since the beginning of the 98-99 season a fall in quality, an obvious lack of imagination of Fabienne Larouche, the writer. The abortions, the jealous mothers, the teacher-student relationships, homosexuality, the sudden death of a close relation, all that, they are exhausted topics. You are not surprised if Évelyne tries out these first rules in some episodes...

Again, it is getting worse - apart from continuity, in the sense that the pupils graduate and change school years. Not as in Beverly Hills 90210, which was made over a period of 7 years until the stars went to college...
