Backdoor Romance

This rather hectic assemblage of old porn footage has Sheri St. Claire the only newish element, harking back to Russian Silent Era cinema concepts (Pudovkin) of editing to try and spin straw into gold. It fails.

So we have Sheri on the phone delivering pointless exposition and then heading reluctantly to the Smithers house to become initiated into the art of anal sex. Endless reaction shots of Sheri are inserted as she plays Peeping Thomasina, gazing at well over a dozen brief scenes of folks having anal sex there, culled from various earlier porn videos. Principal player in these XXX interludes is Lili Marlene, surely the hardest working femme in Porn Business during the VHS era.

Sheri eventually has a sex scene of her own in a threesome with Buck Adams and Billy Dee, replete with a d.p., but that is evidently from an earlier video, too, judging by her pubic hair not matching that in her new footage. Of the old scenes I recognized one in which Paul Thomas plays a masseur, but they are otherwise generic.

I had to add the "archive footage" to IMDb just now, indicating along with the high average rating that most people were fooled as to the newness of this footage, even though structurally it is so obviously a paste-up.
