  • BLUE CONFESSIONS tests the perseverance of a Loni Sanders fan: is it worth seeing the beauty hosting some oldie but goodie scenes? Overall I enjoyed the show despite its built-in limitations.

Rather absurd premise has Loni at her typewriter (already I'm nostalgic) writing articles about people's sexual confessions. She has a bad case of writer's block, but falling asleep she hears a disembodied mystical voice - a muse - agreeing to help her. A magical phone suddenly appears on her desk next to her own phone, and she calls people at random, some that she knows & some out of the phone book, and they are forced to confess their sexual secrets to her.

We get to see these secret sexual encounters as vignettes, and there you have a porno movie, shot on film (with Loni's new film footage to match old film excerpts).

Highlights include a Loni segment performing lesbian sex, as well as John Leslie as a hair stylist opposite loops star (of the pretty pink nipples) Kitty Shayne.

All told there are nine sex scenes and an entertaining finish wherein Loni answers the phone, then holds it out towards the camera, announcing "It's for you" to the viewer. Title card says "The End (unless you would like to answer the phone)".
