Fred Lincoln wraps up this 4-part series with a whimper in THE CONQUEST, a meaningless title for an equally meaningless episode. The brilliance of Part 3, only worthwhile segment of the 4, proves to be just a fluke.
Story picks up with Julia Ann still reading Casanova's diary, recounting the story of his encounter with Mei Ling in the jungle. This flat-chested Laura Gemser style beauty sucks Rocco's toes and then they hump for a promising first scene, mirroring a very similar opening scene in Part 3.
Rocco appears to Julia and admonishes her to use her imagination while reading of his exploits, so she appears in a fantasy as a fetish-dressed dominatrix, punishing and servicing a busty brunette. Whipping, use of a dildo and some other BDSM lite highlight this satisfying lesbian sequence.
My hopes up, were dashed in the rather silly switch to "all sex" approach of the next vignette, as Rocco is dressed up as a ringmaster for a cheap-jack circus (basically balloons tied to a couch!) for Baby Lily, a contortionist, humped by The Great Salami (sounds like a future Coen Bros. spoof) in the person and big dick of Sean Michaels. The actress delivers a terrific blow-job and Sean does a thorough job of servicing her, ending in a slow-motion facial. The attractive and lulling Classical music of Parts 3 & 4 gives away to annoying circus music here.
Julia's imagination runs wild and we have an interesting set-piece set out in the backyard but purporting to be a jungle as she makes wild cat with body paint and fierce jungle cat expression, fighting with bedmate Aaron Colt, his nearly waist- length hair unfurled, and making like a boxer with jabs and feints. This was a well-photographed sequence that essentially climaxed the series.
Rocco bids adieu to the Colt & Julia house guests, and at that point the final 10- minutes of my DVD copy went defective, with what looked to be a constant glitch from defunct distributor Sin City. The final reel's soundtrack played intact, just music and some sexual grunting, while the visual froze permanently on a shot of a blonde in a swimming pool. Accompanying still photos show Rocco humping blonde by his pool, so that filler is apparently what Lincoln chose to round out his finale in who cares? fashion.
The greatness of Part 3 lives on, so my recommendation is to watch it, THE DIARY OF CASANOVA, and give the rest of this 4-parter a deserved pass.
