A real loser, this Venus 99 release, not to be confused with a VCA movie 3 years later by the same name, features five unrelated sex scenes, supposedly inspired by sexy books the characters are reading.

Emphasis is placed on lesbian sex, performed lethargically -the type of token scenes that eventually gave rise to a reaction of strong lesbian content (e.g., Girlfriends Films formed a decade later). Aja humps blonde Kristarah Knight and later Sharon Mitchell has outdoor sex by the pool with Nikki Valentine.

Old movie posters adorn the wall when pool player Sasha Sean humps Don Fernando, and there's no introduction at all to Buck Adams in bed with Ashley Winger -pure sex filler.

Pictures ends on a low note, with Ron Jeremy talking aloud to himself nonsensically while sitting in front of a fancy chess board, picking up an old book and randomly reading an erotic passage, image dissolves to his erotic fantasy of f*cking Mandi Wine.

This is so crummy that the Muzak score includes a cover version of "A Whiter Shade of Pale" (with guitar replacing the vocals), played twice to back two different sex scenes.
