With plenty of potential historical action and conflict relegated to mere voice-over narration, what remains in this Costume bondage drama is the usual tough talk and plenty of flogging of nude women. Opportunity to make a real movie went down the drain.

It's set in 1503 in Ferrara, Italy, and deals with the conflict between Lucretia Borgia (daughter of the pope) and her sister-in-law Isabella. Both their brothers are away, and the gals will play, if beating up on each other is considered play.

I enjoyed the fact that there was no fetish clothing used, just period dresses and plenty of full nudity. It's tame by genre standards, and opens unusually with a purely nonviolent lesbian sex scene for Alexis Payne (Lucretia) making love to her maid servant Nicola (played by a petite brunette Geneva).

Main plot twist has Isabella in charge but a key reversal half way through whereby instead of dishing out punishment she ends up in bondage. Fan favorite, the late Lisa Comshaw (aka Tori SInclair) gets her share of whipping too.
