Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is looking to resurrect the Budokai Tenkaichi series and is coming out swinging. Everything we have seen about the game so far has been impressive, and fans are looking forward to reliving the best moments from across Dragon Ball.
The roster is also looking very robust, with characters from across the Dragon Ball universe playable. However, a recent bit of information has a Redditor concerned regarding some forms of a main character that may or may not make it into the final game.
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero May Not Feature Every Single Goku Form
Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero may cut some forms of Goku.
No Dragon Ball game is complete without Goku; in fact, it wouldn’t be a Dragon Ball game without Goku. The issue does come up, though, that over the course of the series’ long history, Goku has changed a lot, and I don’t mean his personality.

The Dragon Ball franchise is one of the most popular franchises worldwide. Dragon Ball began airing in 1986, and since then, no anime has come close to it. It rejuvenated when a sequel was announced in the form of Dragon Ball Z. It broke every record and paved the path for the Big Three of anime to make the industry mainstream.
Prince Vegeta was the first major antagonist of the sequel and had a grueling fight with Son Goku. But soon they joined forces and won over the hearts of every anime. Anime lover or not, everyone has heard about Akira Toriyama’s magnum opus. It is sad to hear about the passing of one of the greatest mangaka of all time, but the real value of his franchise will blow everyone’s minds.

Dragon Ball Super went one step ahead of its predecessors and introduced Gods and angels as the next antagonists. The God of Destruction of Universe 7, Beerus, was the first antagonist of the latest edition of the Dragon Ball franchise. After the introduction of the Gods, the Saiyans also got a taste of godly powers and were determined to train under them.
While Dragon Ball Super has shown everything in detail, the latest fan video surfaced, which showed a glimpse of the training session under Whis’ supervision. Initially, it was Goku and Vegeta who trained, but later, the God of destruction got amused and challenged the duo. Even though Beerus held the upper hand, it was the Saiyans who gave Beerus a taste of his own medicine.

Growing up, many of us were captivated by the adventures of Goku and his friends in the world of Dragon Ball. From the fierce battles to the heartwarming friendships, it shaped our childhoods in many ways. Now, with the announcement of ‘Dragon Ball: Daima’ at New York Comic-Con, it feels like a sweet reunion with an old friend.
The teaser trailer released by Toei Animation was a rush of nostalgia. Seeing Goku and his companions de-aged, taking us back to those earlier days of the series, was truly a treat. The snippet showed Goku and Vegeta sparring, reminding me of those afternoons when I’d rush home from school just to catch the latest episode. It wasn’t just Goku; the entire cast appeared younger, which means we’ll get to revisit the dynamics and relationships of our favorite characters in a fresh yet familiar setting.

Whether you're a fan of anime or not, you've most likely heard of "Dragon Ball." The iconic series, created by Akira Toriyama, has helped define modern-day Shonen anime with creatively designed characters, worlds, and stories. The anime grew past its original conception as an action-comedy, eventually spanning two sequel series, with "Dragon Ball Z" becoming the most well-known of the many series made thus far. Consisting of five different shows with a total of 806 episodes and 20 movies, getting into this famous series can feel overwhelming. After all, there are multiple avenues to take to experience the story of Goku and the rest of the Z fighters.
"Dragon Ball," tells the story of Son Goku, a young warrior who goes on a journey to become a strong and capable fighter. With otherworldly strength and a peculiar monkey tail, Goku makes all sorts of acquaintances and enemies (who later become friends). Along the way,...

It’s no shock that Dragon Ball Z is one of the most popular anime series of all time, spanning nearly 300 episodes in just Dragon Ball Z alone, let alone Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Gt, Dragon Ball Super, and the movies. While we are technically supposed to root for the good guys – the Z Fighters – there have been some cases where the villain is just so likeable that you can’t help but want them to succeed in some capacity. Dragon Ball Super Episode 86
“Just being strong isn’t enough for this job…”
Some anime series like to keep it quaint and cozy with limited cast of characters, but Dragon Ball definitely doesn’t subscribe to that thought process. Between the various series in the franchise,Dragon Ball is a universe that is full of hundredsof important characters.
Accordingly, it’s quite easy to lose track of who’s met who, who’s beaten each other in battle, and if there’s any weird overlap between characters who have just never come in contact. While it seems like Goku and Android 17 would have squared off in battle during the infancy of the Cell Saga, Goku’s heart condition actually...

I remember people were pumped when Dragon Ball Super was announced. Not only were we getting new Dragon Ball episodes, but this new series was to be considered canon and wipe out the awful Dragon Ball Gt series. Now a year later we have one of the series' most confusing stories yet: Goku fighting Goku.
Sorry, that's not the official translation...this new enemy's name is "Black Goku." That can make for some awkward and sometimes hilarious subtitles as you'll see in the video below. If you haven't been watching Dragon Ball Super, essentially this Goku is from an alternate timeline and is battling the Z fighters, but no one really knows why — except he's evil...probably. See the two square off for the first time in the video below.

The X-men franchise certainly got off to a pretty strong start. The first movie was understandably mainstream in its appeal, with a great focus on the mutant struggle. The second one amped things up, adding more credibility to the comic book movie genre as a whole. To some, X-2: X-men United holds up as one of the superior entries in the franchise. The decline in quality didn't come until X-men: The Last Stand, the third film in the franchise.
Unlike the first two movies, The Last Stand wasn't directed by Bryan Singer. Singer instead left the X-men to tackle Superman Returns, another picture that seemed to underwhelm the target fan base. The film was rushed to completion, with director Brett Ratner brought on board to helm the picture, and the results were a bit messy, to say the least. Ever since then, fans have always been left to wonder:...

Last Friday, it was announced that Karl Urban would be making their way over the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the form of the Marvel baddie Skurge the Executioner. While Urban is no stranger to genre films (he tore up the screen in Dredd, and a trailer just came out for his latest film, Star Trek Beyond), there is something a bit interesting about him making his way over to the superhero film genre.
In a recent interview with IGN, the actor explained how he got involved with Marvel and ended up in the film, and also gave us an oh-so-minor comments on the character he will be playing.
“I read a fantastic script that was action-packed and full of great characters. When I heard who was involved -- and the cast list dropped yesterday -- and [saw] the opportunity to work with [Thor: Ragnarok director] Taika Waititi, who I think is one of the most brilliant directors coming through,...

Fun fact: today is Brother's Day (which I'm sure is a real holiday), and as such, the marketing folks over at Fox have thought it the perfect occasion to celebrate with a video from actors Adam Devin and Zac Efron. In the video, the pair, who play the Stangle brothers in the upcoming Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates.
The book they read from is a "children's" book entitled "Where Do Brothers Come From?"
In case you haven't had your fill of Zac Efron and his comedic chops with last weekend's Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, don't you worry, his abs and biceps will be eagerly waiting you in Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates.
The film follows two brothers, Mike and Dave Stangle, who need to get classy wedding dates for their sister's wedding, in hopes that they'll rein them in from usual party-heavy shenanigans. The only problem is the...

There is a definite trend in the marketing of animated films. First they tend to have a trailer that gives very little away in terms of plot, character, or motivations, and focuses solely on the jokes meant to get kids in the theaters. Earlier this year, with the release of the first Sing trailer, that's exactly what we got. A bunch of one-off jokes and pop culture references. Given the trend, I'm usually not one to judge so harshly early on. It's usually the second trailer that has more weight to it.
This is exactly the case with Sing. With its second trailer, we get into the motivations of the characters, and the struggles they face. While the jokes from the first trailer are mostly here, this particular trailer does a much better job at getting me to care about what's going on, and given that, I certainly hope the film delivers on that front.

Gasp! I know what you're thinking. Deadpool's already been released, so why bother releasing a promo clip for the film? Well, not everyone in the world has been as fortunate as us. While the Merc with a Mouth cursed his way onto U.S. screens last Valentine's Day, he'll only be making his way to the Land of the Rising Sun on June 1, 2016.
As such, Ryan Reynolds and their stellar marketing team did what they did best -- released another funny promo clip for the movie.
Check it out below!

The filmmaking process is an unpredictable and malleable one. A director may have a vision, but at the end of the day, that vision may interfere with the actual story they're trying to tell. As such, there are often times when either full scenes or even subplots are left on the cutting room floor. We seemed to have witnessed that pretty recently with this year's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, which had its original cut of over three hours reduced to two and a half hours, but perhaps one of the best examples in the past few years comes from 2014's X-men: Days Of Future Past.
In that film, the entire subplot of Rogue was unceremoniously axed from the theatrical version. All in all, the movie worked, but it did seem a bit strange to see a character that had once been so prominent reduced to a few lines and appearances.

Dragon Ball Super, the first Dragon Ball anime in 18 years will premiere in Japan on July 5th. It's likely that one of the top 3 anime streaming services (Hulu, CrunchyRoll or Funimation) will simulcast the series for international viewers in the U.S. and U.K. The companion manga for Dragon Ball Super will be released on June 20th. Manga artist Toyotarō is illustrating the series which was developed partially by original Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama. Not a lot is now about the new story, other than the fact that it is set a few years after the defeat of Maijin Buu, during a time when the earth is at peace. This new story effectively wipes Dragon Ball Gt from continuity.

The manga for Dragon Ball Super will begin on June 20th and today, we have our first look at our main protagonist, Goku. Drawn by manga artist Toyotarō, Goku is still rocking his familiar orange gi, with some slight changes. He's swapped Master Roshi's Turtle School emblem for the emblem of Whis/Birus, who are training Goku following the events of Battle of Gods. He' also rocking some very Future-Trunks-esque boots, so perhaps these are made by Capsule Corps. The anime will premiere a month later, in July. Original Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama is credited with creating the story for Dragon Ball Super. Longtime fans of the Dragon Ball series just went Super Saiyan. Toei Animation announced today that the famous franchise is getting its first new series in 18 years, Dragon Ball Super. The last iteration, Dragon Ball Gt, ended in 1997, but the series has remained popular in syndication, leading to the remastered version of the Z series, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and two recent movies, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’. With the less-than-stellar response Dragon Ball Gt received after creator Akira Toriyama left the series, it has long been rumored that he would return to create a new series called Dragon Ball Av. Although Av never came to fruition, it is exciting to hear that Toriyama is back to the series premiering in July, and that Super will pick up where Resurrection ‘F’ left off.

With the non-cannon Dragon Ball Gt wrapping up in 1997, there has not been an official Dragon Ball anime series for roughly 18 years. That changes this July. Dragon Ball Super, a new Dbz series from Akira Toriyama, will reportedly start "a few years after the defeat of Majin Buu, during a time when the Earth is peaceful". There's not a lot of details at this time but Dragon Ball fans around the globe are very excited by the news. The main question on most minds is just where will the series begin in terms of continuity, before or after the new films? Expect more details on the project to be revealed as the series premiere date draws closer. Earlier this year, Toei Animation released a second, new Dragon Ball anime, Dragon Ball Z: Ressurection of F. It premiered in the Us on April 11 in Los Angeles. Toei has announced plans...

Bandai Namco announced this morning that Dragon Ball Xenoverse will come to North America on February 17, 2015. The latest gaming adaptation of the classic anime series will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.
Unlike other attempts to emulate the classic series through gaming, Dragon Ball Xenoverse will feature a brand new storyline. A mysterious force has been altering the timeline of the world of Dragon Ball, and it will be up to a new face in order to restore things back to normal. Rather than stepping into the shoes of Goku, Gohan, or Vegeta once again, players will get to create their own character for the first time. This character can be customized both in terms of attacks and clothing, and can even team up with the many powerful faces of the series.
Besides the unique campaign, the title will also feature a new World Tournament Budokai Tenkaichi mode,...

It was recently revealed that "Star Wars: Episode VII" already started filming and that all the major roles have been cast. The Hollywood Reporter just learned that one of those roles is Chewbacca and that Peter Mayhew will return to play the character. Mayhew played the Wookiee and Han Solo's co-pilot in the original trilogy, beginning with "Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope" in 1977. Rumors recently surfaced that he was reprising his role after he canceled an upcoming appearance at Texas convention Comicpalooza "due to filming." Mayhew, who also played Chewbacca in prequel film "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith," has mainly spent his career playing the iconic character, but also appeared in the horror film "Terror" and did voice work in the British version of "Dragon Ball Gt: A Hero's Legacy." "Star Wars: Episode VII" is directed by Jj Abrams and is set...

Growing up in the late 1990s and early part of the 2000s, I was a huge fan of Toonami. The anime block on Cartoon Network introduced me to some of the first TV shows I actively followed such as Gundam Wing, YuYu Hakusho, and most importantly, Dragon Ball Z. While I don’t follow the genre much anymore, I will always have a fondness in my heart for these shows, which is why I was excited to get my hands on Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Z. Sure, I had played the previous Budokai series of titles, but this new installment was promising the fast-paced, over the top brawls that the show is known for.
As mentioned before, Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Z does away with the traditional one on one fighting system that most of the other titles in the franchise have used in favor of a 4 on 4 system.
