In the scene in the deserted film studio, where Philip is attacked by movie paraphernalia, the film stock is actually nine damaged prints of Saturday Night Fever (1977), obtained from Rank Laboratories.
Michael Craze, who plays Gary, was originally going to play a leading role but had an epileptic seizure during the shoot and was told he couldn't work during that time. Director Norman J. Warren ended up getting James Aubrey to taken over Craze's scenes.
