PG-13 | | Action, War
A German submarine is boarded by disguised American submariners trying to capture their Enigma cipher machine.
The "German" aircraft flying over the sub, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, is an Italian Fiat G.59 trainer, first flown in 1948.
Those Krauts sure know how to build a boat.
A comment was made that Chief Klough was to have said he was depth charged off "Murmansk" (and even the closed-captioning said that) but the proper reference is "Merignac" a French city then at the end of an estuary but now close to Bordeaux, France.
The German version has a title card at the beginning, saying the movie is completely fictitious.
