Italian censorship visa # 92406 delivered on 16-3-1998.

The role of Totò was offered to Ciccio Ingrassia. He turned it down because he did not want to act any more.

This movie was initially refused a certificate by the Italian censors and was deemed "degrading for the dignity of the Sicilian people, for Italy and the whole humanity," "disrespectful towards religious feelings," "blasphemous, sacrilegious, and full of moral degradation." It was passed uncut by the appeal commission with a VM18 rating.

The first scene of the movie is the same than the first Ciprì and Maresco's movie: a sexual act betweeen a man and a donkey but with a difference: in Totò who lived twice this scene is a film in the cinema.
