    Storyline

    • Trivia
Mike Horner returns as detective for hire Bill Harlow, last seen in "Who Shaved Aja" (1989). Others had played the part, a favorite of writer Cash Markman and director Scotty Fox. Rick Savage was the first, for 1989's "Who Shaved Trinity Loren" and, on it's heals, "Unforgivable" (AKA "Who Shaved Debi Diamoind"). Then Horner put on the gum shoes for one movie, and his search for Aja's missing pubic hair. Randy West played Harlow next, in 1989's "Rear View" and its 1990 sequel, "Anothe Rear View." Randy Spears took over the part for 1990's "This Year's Blonde" and 1992's "Sweet Target." To lesser effect, director Stuart Canterbury tried one with Tony Tedeschei as Harlow, in 1994's "Red Light." And that brings us here. Horner would be back, in a sequel to this movie, "Rainwoman 8."

    Dumb, confusing satire
Presented as a two-parter (Rainwoman Seven and Rain Woman 8, even the titles inconsistently spelled), this awful riff on private eye movies by hack Cash Markman is convoluted, contradictory and intentionally insulting to the viewer. Worst of the two videos is #8, an asinine reuse of the same footage from #7 with some added scenes featuring the likes of Mike Horner and Kylie Ireland.

Nominal story line has Horner as private dick Bill Harlow hired to find Mark Davis's ex-girlfriend Sarah James. I tried hard to make sense of what followed, and the first stumbling block is that Sarah James is used as both the character name for top-billed star Sarah Jane Hamilton as well as Kitty Yung (misspelled Young in the credits.

Finished pair of movies retain sex footage of Hamilton but otherwise she is not present, from which I infer there must have been serious production problems and instead of reshooting they added Yung, to finish the incoherent movie.

In fact, when Horner interviews Yung, she tells him about Davis's missing mistress and we see two flashbacks of Hamilton having sex in that role, but eventually Horner returns the mistress Sarah James to Davis and she's Yung. I couldn't believe this anything-goes nonsense.

Kylie fares better as a very sexy blonde stripper who has sex with Horner. Their sex scene is repeated in its entirety in sequel, #8. Several portions of other sex scenes in #7, including a lengthy kink scene (featuring ben wa balls and fisting of Hamilton) also make up the bulk of #8.

Another main character, Danyel (misspelled Daniel in the credits) Cheeks, brings her big boobs to a sex scene with houseboy Steve Drake. In #8 she returns to service Horner in new footage in that clunker.

A busty star Lili Xene I wanted to see is wasted, having a sex scene in #7 and the briefest of excerpts in #8.

For more criticism by me, see IMDb's listing for #8. It's the pits.
