Perhaps the dumbest "seance contacting the spirit world" movie I've ever seen, "The Rising" has four characters holding a seance, where each of them (except Ron Jeremy) keeps fantasizing having sex, somehow inspired by spirits. Ron is not funny but more of a pest here, complaining about all the others ignoring him when they go into a trance, but at the end he gets to participate in an impromptu orgy.
The sex is arbitrary, and the character relationships boring, all of it subservient to the usual lazy porn structure of vignettes strung together by some gimmick (the seance in this case). Femme cast is definitely subpar.
Only mystery here is a Black actress cast merely as a prostitute in one of the erotic fantasies -she's billed as Ebony Ayes, but is actually played by an obscure performer named Sonia Carr. The resemblance between the two is not obvious (to me) so it's unlikely that they are merely alternate pseudonyms for the same actress.
