"Pran is hospitalised here. He is alright and is absolutely fine," Suhir Dagaonkar, spokesperson of Lilavati Hospital, told Ians.
Asked when the actor will be discharged from the hospital, Dagaonkar said: "Right now all I can say is he is fine."

South Asian Film Festival which will be held in Goa from September 15-18, 2011 will pay tribute to Indian actor Shammi Kapoor who passed away recently. Shammi Kapoor’s films like Brahmachari and Kashmir Ki Kali will be screened at the festival.

Yesteryear's ace writer Sachin Bhowmik passed away earlier today. It is learnt that the writer/ director had been ailing for sometime and succumbed to the same. Sachin started his writing career with the film Lajwanti in 1958 and followed it up with films such as Brahmachari, Aradhana, Pehchan and Aan Milo Sajna. More recently, he has written films like Koi... Mil Gaya, Kisna and Krrish. He also directed a film called Raja Rani in 1973 starring Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore. Says Subhash Ghai, "It's my great personal loss......he was most interested in films but never a filmy as a person.
