Judging from the several trailers shown with this 1986 VHS porn comedy, filmmaker Stuart Canterbury was churning out many a fun comedy at the time. "Sophisticated Women" is light-hearted fluff, easy to watch and sexy.
It predates the Farrelly Bros. Formula, with Randy West and Billy Dee unlikely siblings whose antics make for amusing sight gags and plenty of free-wheeling f*cking.
It's Billy's birthday, and Randy is intent on finding classy females to fix up with him. None of what happens is believable but somehow Canterbury's clever dialogue and unpredictable situation comedy hit the spot.
Silliness includes Krista Lane as a librarian given to masturbating on the job, who ends up in a threesome with the brothers; and an odd dinner for the boys and their sophisticated ladies Barbara Dare and Cara Lott.
