  • This second feature from Norway's Petter Naess is absolutely hilarious. It follows the antics of a forty year old (unmarried) couple, and their crazy friends and family members. Add to that strange cast of characters, some colorful new arrivals, and Murphy's law spun madly out of control by wild, binge drinking parties Norwegian-style, and you have an ABSOLUTE HANGOVER, the English name of the film. It's an original slapstick comedy with characters that seem like ordinary people but are funnier than most characters comedy writers contrive. Don't miss it if it comes your way.

I'd wanted to rent this movie for months, but me and my friends always ended up with another movie. Recently I finally got around to renting it, and I was not disappointed. The gorilla-like Gimle turns in a great performance as the bingedrinking main character. Ellefsen and Eidsvold add to the proceedings in their own unique way, and confusion beckons. I won't spoil the plot, but it's full of laughs and chuckles. Very well acted, and nicely directed by Petter Næss. Absolutely one to watch.
