Thugs, skinheads, guns, illegal aliens, and a dog.
I first saw this film at the Arizona International Film Festival and was surprised when I saw it show up on other festivals' schedules across the country. Simply put, it's not standard festival fare these days. Rather, Dog Years shows what you can do with next to no money long before the Blair Witch Project even was conceived. Much gunplay, no-budget special effects that go too far, and lots and lots of humor. It's true, the quality of acting lies somewhere between Rambo and Pink Flamingos but the quirky writing and interesting camera makes up for it.
