Scrappy and Oopie are leading an expedition to the South Pole. This means they need to have some radio entertainers on their ship, who show up when a sign is posted.
This post-Huemer effort in the series is pretty good, if certainly more conventional in its story logic. About a third of it is concerned with celebrity caricatures, including Eddie Cantor, Kate Smith, Ed Wynn (driving a fire truck, of course) and a couple I don't recognize. It maintains a brisk pace of gag construction under the direction of Sid Marcus, and it maintains its pace throughout (some of the more imaginative cartoons in the series sort of poop out after a great first half).
