Great porn parody of "Twin Peaks"
Henri Pachard's (credited as Jackson St. Louis) "Wild at Heart" is one of those movies that works so badly it's good. While it obviously borrows from "Twin Peaks" (and the title hints at the Lynchian references to be found), it is itself a parody of bad porno movies. From the use of stock footage (I know this since one of the scenes is borrowed from Pachard's "Who Shaved Lynn LeMay"), to looping to match cuts that don't match, "Wild at Heart" is really a wreck of a film with some hot sex (if you can get past the opening scene, which looks as if it was shot with a lo tech webcam)and a great comedic performance by Joey Silvera. Also not to be meant is the quick appearance of Kiki, a redhead starlet who only appeared in about a dozen movies, but had a more than memorable following. Be prepared for one of the worst endings in the history of cinema, however. Nothing great, but sure to be entertaining, if even unintentionally.
