happy meeting
the novel of Teodor Mazilu. the experience of Mircea Mureșan in the genre of political drama. one of the great proofs of artistic genius of Octavian Cotescu. beautiful cinematography. symbols. and old theme of Communists against Antonescu regime. the dialogues save the film to be only a propaganda tool. the actors give to characters the gift to be more than sketches. and the image change the pressure of correct political direction in a form of poetry of emotions, confession and testimony. a single father . and his two children. honesty as his first virtue. and the world around him who is far to be stable. the good point of film is the happy meeting between actors, director and scriptwriter. only if you know the Romanian films from the VIII decade can understand the importance of the work together. the nostalgia flavor is the perfect ingredient of atmosphere. and, far to be different by many other films from the same period, the science of Octavian Cotescu to explore the sides of his character impose a clear identity of a film about the shadows of past.
