  • Amateurish, obsolete, limp, tired, amorphous, boring... Typical for the level of Sergiu Nicolaescu of the last 32 years (his last good movie being "Osânda" / "Doom", 1976). Lame pastiches of the super-agent movies that can look only as ridiculous hybrids... Shameless distorting of history (but this isn't a surprise, is it?). A childish, flat and hilarious re-enacting of Ceausescu's so-called "summary trial an execution" (in truth, a political assassination ordered by Iliescu and enforced by Magureanu, Stanculescu and Voican-Voiculescu), with many details amiss, out of pure negligence... One of the most penible examples of "How Not" in movie-making.

It is a very good movie, well produced and directed. But then again which films of Sergiu Nicolaescu aren't? My Mum and Dad used to work for him, so I know quite a few films of his. This is how I got to act in this film, Poin Zero. This why I have rated the movie to be the best. It's a good film and reflects our history, this is what I like about it. The kids these days are not that interested in history anymore and the best part about it is that they don't have to be, they can just watch a movie and see and learn what happened. I do have a little request: If anyone out there knows where I could buy a good quality DVD copy of this film, please let me know. I have a video tape and a picture to prove, I was the little girl in the orphanage ;-). It was a very nice experience for me at that age, as I am sure it would be to anyone who is interested in this sort of things. Thanks everyone for listening to me!!!
