A phony spiritualist raises the dead.
Most of Lt. Bradford's exploration of Dr. Acula's house was lifted from Edward D. Wood Jr.'s short film Final Curtain (1957) and given a voice-over by Criswell to integrate it into the story.
Oh, it was a nightmare of horror!
The house on Willows Lake made its original appearance in Bride Of The Monster, where it was known as The Willows House on Lake Marsh. Since burning down and being rebuilt, it became a single floor ranch (it was a rather large Victorian in BOTM). Later in the movie, the house is shown to once again be a large house via staircases and a tremendous amount of rooms.
