    Storyline

    Edit
Yup Yup Man is a schizophrenic street man who wants to become a crime crusader like Dark Justice, his favorite comic book. As he focuses on his crime fighting crusade, his delusional traits weaken, making him seem outwardly normal. In the end, he must choose between a destructive world of crime fighting or aspiring to grow his inherent goodness. —Brendan Hill <swatchdog@bigpond.com>

    "Dark Justice"
Emotionally traumatized when he was a little boy by an event involving the death of his father, "Robert" (William Bumiller) lives a lonely existence as the "Yup Yup Man" who aimlessly collects aluminum cans to purchase bare essentials and comic books. His favorite is titled, "Dark Justice" which involves a vigilante who fights crime beyond the auspices of the law. Witnessing crime all around him he confides to a bartender named "Jack" (David Bowe) that what society needs is a "caped crusader" who will take matters into his own hands and put a scare into the criminal element. Not thinking that it will amount to anything Jack encourages Robert to do just that. At any rate, rather than give away any surprises for those who haven't seen this movie, I will just say that it is built upon a fairly good premise. Unfortunately, there are numerous holes in the plot and a person has to willingly overlook them to gain any satisfaction from this film. The acting is surprisingly decent, especially on the part of William Bumiller and Jocelyn Seagraves as his girlfriend, "Jillian". But because it oversteps the boundaries of believability, it just isn't enough. Also possibly worth mentioning is the fact that this film has been retitled to "Dark Justice" which may cause confusion among some viewers.
