Will and Grace live together in an apartment in New York City. He's a gay lawyer, she's a straight interior designer. Their best friends are Jack, a gleeful but proud gay man, and Karen, a charismatic, filthy rich, amoral socialite.
Due to Debra Messing's pregnancy during the sixth season, Grace did not appear in five episodes: episode six, "Heart Like a Wheelchair", episode twenty-one, "I Never Cheered for My Father", episode twenty-two, "Speechless", episode twenty-three, "I Do", and episode twenty-four, "Oh, No, You Di-in't".
Will, have you totally forgotten how to speak our language? 'Running late' is gay for 'I'm blowing you off.'
Will: Really. What's gay for 'get out'?
Jack: That would be 'good morning.'
Will: Good morning, Jack.
Actor Eric McCormack is Canadian. Will, the character he plays, is not. Nonetheless throughout the series "Will" frequently lets slip with a Canadian accent, particularly on the stereotypical 'about', which he pronounces 'aboot'.
