| A strange film
Godfrey Tearle plays a rather depressed businessman who hosts a party for 12 other depressed people. They are all near suicidal,so Tearle gives them each £50 so that they can find a way out of their troubles,or return 24 hours later and contemplate suicide. The film follows the fortunes of those who attended and have been able to resolve their problems. The film then reverts to Tearle who turns around his fortunes and life by undermining a foreign currency. When the time comes for people to return only one old lady attends. She has had a day's holiday and is ready to go.Tearle solves her problem by adopting her as his grandmother. Not the greatest entertainment.
