  • I remember seeing this film a long time ago (I can't even remember where) and thinking that we would hear about this young director in the future. Its language (as in film-language) was so special, so personal. It seemed able tap straight into these powerful feelings I used to have as a teenager, and the naive poetry and imagination that I have now lost somehow as I became a «serious person». I don't know if the fact she is a woman has played against her film making career (probably), but I believe Isabelle Hayeur possesses the talent of a real author, and it's a shame we don't see and hear more of her special stories.

I hope public institutions will see this a give her the necessary funding to finally show what she's really capable of.
