in addition to the use of CG and animatronics, the special effects team also brought back the traditional man-in-a-suit effect. The most notable instances of this include a few shots of a pteranodon in the aviary and the raptor attacking the characters in the cages at the InGen base. John Rosengrant wore the raptor suit in this sequence.

When the man and boy begin para-sailing in the opening sequence, as they lift off from the boat an overhead shot looks down at them with the boat almost directly below them, but the boat is not moving and has no wake.
The Roman numeral "III" in the opening title logo is formed by a trio of claw marks.
After the brief encounter with the ceratosaurus, which turns its nose up at the humans and decides not to attack them, Paul Kirby (William H. Macy) says "Can't help but feel a little offended." The line was edited out for it was thought that it was inappropriately "cheesey" for that stage in the narrative.
