When this cartoon was still in the works, Capcom was very quiet about the storyline. At one point, they said they weren't even certain Dr. Wily would appear in it.

There are numerous appearance/attack/ability errors with the Robot Masters. For instance, Mega Man is able to get a helicopter blade from Gyro Man to make himself fly, which is impossible in the games.
In the first season, an instrumental version of the title theme music played over the end credits. In the second season, generic modern rock songs (which have no connection to the show whatsoever) played over the credits. These second season songs were later released on a soundtrack CD (even though the songs had nothing to do with Mega Man apart from being played over the show's credits.)
