Double Dragon in Last Duel

A low-budget Korean martial arts film, "Double Dragon in Last Duel" is the clunker of all clunkers as far as this genre is concerned: it makes "The Clones of Bruce Lee" look like "Citizen Kane". Yes, the acting and dubbing are terrible (what else would you expect?), but that's not all. The poorly-choreographed fight scenes are sped up and whenever someone is hit, he goes "HHHWWHUHGLUUURGHHWHOOOOOO!!!"--as if he's wailing in agony and vomiting at the same time. Clearly, whoever dubbed this mess was having a lot of fun! The sets, apparently made of plastic or balsa wood and painted in garishly bright dayglo colors, give "Last Duel" a downright surreal look. The low point (or high point, depending on how you look at it) comes during the climactic battle at a ruined temple, when one of the protagonists is stabbed to death with what is very obviously a rubber knife. I've seen this wretched film pop up on DVD recently and, believe it or not, they're asking twenty-five bucks for it. You've gotta be kidding me!
