A comedy revolving around a group of teenage friends, their mishaps, and their coming of age, set in 1970s Wisconsin.
Red talks about how the Packers beat the Bears after the game in the show, but the real-life Packers actually lost that game by one point in December of 1979.
Ok. Ok. Let's just keep the game going.
Kitty Forman: Donna. If you were a shoe, whose shoe would you be?
Donna Pinciotti: Well, I wouldn't want to be Red's shoe because it's about to go into somebody's ass.
Several times in the series when donuts are present, they are in a Krispy Kreme box, but Krispy Kreme donuts did not come to Wisconsin until the 2000's.
In the episode "An Eric Forman Christmas" (4x12) the "That '70s Show" title is decorated with christmas tree balls. During the opening credits christmas bells can be heard.
During the original FOX run, the episodes featured a lot of music from that time-line. However, in order to avoid paying royalties, most of the music was changed with generic music starting with syndication airings, and these changes remained on the DVD and Blu-ray releases.
