Viewers will be getting to stick around Riverdale for at least one more year on The CW.
The dark teen drama has been renewed for a second season.
The series follows the teens of Riverdale as they come to terms with the murder of Jason Blossom.
Based on the Archie comics, the series debuted in January to tepid numbers, but delayed viewing is thought to have played a huge part in saving the series.
Season 1 is averaging 1.2 million viewers and a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49 in live plus same day data.
Also, the series has a lucrative streaming deal with Netflix outside of the Us which should help with the costs of the show.
The CW has been known to make renewal decisions without consulting the live ratings.
The series boasts a class that includes Luke Perry, Madchen Amick, Cole Sprouse, Kj Apa, Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes.

Take that, Mr. Smarty-pants!
Ben finds out on Incorporated Season 1 Episode 8 that sometimes you can be too clever for your own good.
I know he's desperate to get Elena back and all (even though she told him to move on more than once), but doing a partial self lobotomy sounds like a bit of reach to me.
Ben: I'm just temporarily disconnecting some circuits.
Hendrick: Aaron isn't a circuit-it's who you are.
Ben: But he's not who I need to be right now.
Permalink: But he's not who I need to be right now. Added: January 18, 2017
Anyone who's watched TV before knows that this type of deal isn't gonna work, and for someone who's supposedly as smart as Ben should know better.
The lie becomes the truth, or at least that's the idea.

Well, at least last week's episode was good (sigh).
Unfortunately, the suck-age begins again on Incorporated Season 1 Episode 7.
We're back to the same ol' boring corporate intrigue, only now it's all about Roger the dick's body finally being found.
Today marks the anniversary of the ratification of the 29th amendment, granting corporations the sovereignty we needed and deserved. An act which freed us from the incompetence, regulations and tyranny of the federal government. We make our own laws, we supply the security. We do the things which government is no longer able to do. God bless America, and God bless Spiga.

Carissa Pavlica: Claire Danes for Homeland. Right down to the last seconds of the finale, I was unsure where she would go with the role of Carrie Mathison. She is fabulous as a bipolar super agent.
Matt Richenthal: The only acceptable answer is Claire Danes.
Kate Brooks: Emily Vancamp in Revenge. I've always wondered how she doesn't win all of the awards. She's so crazy brilliant as Emily Thorne. She can cry at the drop of a pin… and that Emily Thorne stare will get you every time. So good.

Welcome back, once again, to TV Fanatic's weekly Gossip Girl Round Table Q&A discussion! Below, our panelists break down all aspects of the penultimate Gossip Girl episode, "The Revengers."
In our Q&A session, Tvf editor Steve Marsi and staff members Christina Tran, Leigh Raines and Courtney Morrison share their opinions on everything that went down on the Upper East Side.
Weigh in with your take on the following topics after reading ours!
-------------------------------
1. What was your favorite quote or scene from the episode?
Courtney: Who knew Nate watches Homeland? "I don't know how Claire Danes does this! It hurts my head." Classic.
Christina: The final seconds leading up to Bart plummeting to his death were definitely my favorite. I can’t remember laughing so hard during Gossip Girl. And that amazing score gave me chills – the same kind I get from watching The Lion King, Batman or even Days of Our Lives.

Now that many of our favorite shows are either on hiatus or have just finished up a season, TV Fanatic is handing out grades to various shows the way Santa hands out presents to good kids: in bunches.
On the heels of Matt Richenthal's report on The Good Wife's first half of season three, Dan Forcella now steps up to the plate in handing out what might be the easiest grade of the year. It's time for a TV Fanatic Report Card on the first season of Homeland...
Quick Out of the Gate: Critics and fans alike noted early and often that the Homeland pilot was the most promising of the fall. The compelling story of a prisoner of war returning home, and the CIA agent tasked with finding proof that he had been turned by terrorists, made that evident from the start. The Showtime drama became appointment viewing from the word go.

With an extended Homeland season finale comes an extended Homeland season finale review here at TV Fanatic. I will attempt to keep my thoughts contained, but since "Marine One" was such a tremendous end to this almost perfect first season, I make no promises.
No show in recent memory has combined such interesting character studies with such amazing storytelling as well as Homeland has done over its first 12 episodes.
Damian Lewis gave another gut-wrenching performance in the Homeland season finale.
This season finale had me on the edge of my seat for the entire 90 minutes. A number of series can pull that off on finale night, but Homeland managed to do it every single hour over the course of an entire season. Bravo.
It started with Dana walking in on her dad praying in the garage, a moment I was so glad that Brody was somewhat upfront about. For obvious...

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel stole the spotlight as they hit the black carpet of the 2011 GQ Men of the Year on Thursday evening, November 17. The on-and-of couple were seen arriving separately at the prize giving event that took place at Chateau Marmont, Los Angeles.
Upon his arrival, Justin looked dapper in his suit complete with a bowtie. Meanwhile, Jessica, who reportedly to have been rekindling romance with Justin, looked gorgeous in a black mini dress with stud details on her shoulders. She finished off her look with a silver miniaudiere and black heels.
Though they appeared solo on the red carpet, it was reported that Justin and Jessica were spotted packing on the Pda at the event. Some onlookers told Celebuzz that the pair were seen locking lips, hugging and canoodling during the evening.

It was during the making of Gattaca that writer-director Andrew Niccol first got the idea of In Time. In the highly regarded thriller, the question of identity lies at the forefront of the storyline. Niccol had a thought at the time about what would happen if we could alter the age gene and people would stop aging at twenty-five. That inspiration which proved too much exposition for Gattaca has produced Niccol’s next film, In Time, which stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried as two people at either end of the time-as-money spectrum.
Niccol sat down with Movie Fanatic for an exclusive interview about the finer points of In Time and also his thoughts on getting the gig as the writer-director who will bring Twilight author Stephenie Meyer’s expansive and mind-blowing The Host to screens.
Movie Fanatic: In Time is such a mind-blowing idea. What was the genesis of the movie for you?...

In Time allowed Justin Timberlake to fulfill his childhood action hero dreams. The film is the latest from Gattaca filmmaker Andrew Niccol and co-stars Amanda Seyfried. Timberlake visits with Movie Fanatic and admits that “I got to live out a lot of boyhood fantasies in this movie shooting guns and getting to learn how to stunt drive.”
In Time follows Timberlake’s character in a world where money has been replaced by time. The poor scramble to live day to day, while the wealthy have centuries to cavort as they wish. The question the film raises is: If you had all the time in the world, what would you do with it (click here for the In Time trailer)?
Timberlake, fresh off his turns in The Social Network and Friends with Benefits, gets us caught up on the platinum album singer’s movie modus operandi.

Footloose has a passionate audience for the 1984 film, so many asked when it was announced that writer-director Craig Brewer was bringing it into the 21st century: Why remake a classic? Why not! Plays are redone all the time. What is so great about Footloose of 2011 is that adds so much to what we loved about the original.
Many will compare Kenny Wormald to Kevin Bacon and there is no comparison. They are different Rens for different generations. Yet both will reap the same result from having starred in Footloose: It is a star-maker.
Wormald waltzes into the small Georgia town where dancing and rock and roll have been banned and sets the screen afire. Previously, Wormald worked as a back-up dancer for Justin Timberlake and for our money, he could take his former employer’s roles heading forward. Not to take anything away from Timberlake’s acting ability, we...

Welcome to the third Gossip Girl Round Table discussion of the season! Below, our panel breaks down the previous night's episode (see our official review from earlier this morning) in great detail.
Below, TV Fanatic commander-in-chief Eric Hochberger (Gossip Guy), editor Steve Marsi (Mister Meester) and writers Courtney Morrison, Christina Tran and Leigh Raines talk "The Jewel of Denial."
Weigh in with your take on the following topics after reading ours!
-------------------------------------------
What was your favorite quote from the episode?
Courtney: "There’s nothing more boring than a sense of morality, Humphrey." Classic Chuck Bass.
Christina: From Blair: “That is much more civilized, unlike your hair, Humphrey. You look like a Muppet.” I really just can’t get enough of the Dan jabs.
Leigh: Chuck to Dan in response to Dan doing some persuasion: "I have knee pads in the bedroom if you need them." First of all their banter kills me.

Due to popular demand by at least two separate commenters, we have resurrected the How I Met Your Mother round table! It's been over a year and a half, so please forgive us if we're a little rusty.
So it's me, former Round Table panelist, The Barnacle. But now I'm back, under the guise of my real name and I've enlisted the help of our very own Himym reviewer and expert, Chris O'Hara, along with TV Fanatic's Leigh Raines to help discuss one of television's most original sitcoms.
So join us as we discuss everything from Barney's pickup tactics to Kal Penn's introduction in "The Stinson Missile Crisis"
Favorite Bds (Bimbo Delivery System)?
Chris: Favorite Bds, or as I termed them, Weapons of Mass Seduction, had to be Jack Fantastic the gay hairdresser with the hot “straight twin brother.” My reasoning behind this choice was the time...

Jane Lynch is on the stage, a bag of Oreos is on my coffee table, Jon Hamm is likely preparing his acceptance speech, and I'm excited to watch the 2011 Emmy Awards along with my fellow TV Fanatics.
Below, I'll be live-blogging whatever thoughts come into my head throughout the ceremony, while also highlighting the winners in every major category. Please join me in the Comments section, starting right... Now!
7:57 I have switched over to Fox for a little Red Carpet before the show starts and it is Jane Lynch in a tux. It has begun!
8:01 What I wouldn't do to live in that gigantic tv building!
8:03 Is Jane Lynch making fun of Big Bang Theory for having a laugh track?
8:05 Roger Sterling trying to watch tv through his 1965 phone? Hilarious.

Ryan Gosling is in the proverbial driver’s seat when it comes to his career. To say he is hot right now is an understatement. After charming in Crazy Stupid Love, Gosling has two films that will heat up the fall: George Clooney’s The Ides of March and Drive. Drive is an astounding piece of filmmaking and firmly establishes Gosling as a Hollywood superstar. Gosling sat down with Movie Fanatic in Los Angeles right before heading to Toronto to promote Drive and Ides of March (don’t miss our Gosling in Toronto Ides interview coming soon!).
Gosling first caught audiences’ attention in, of all things, The Mickey Mouse Club opposite none other than Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. The Canadian-born actor is now an Oscar nominee and a certified movie star after his turn in the unforgettable The Notebook.
In Drive, audiences get to see Gosling in a whole new light.

I'm both scared and excited.
The fall season is almost upon us, which means many early mornings and many late nights here at TV Fanatic, as we aim to bring you the most extensive reviews, spoilers and collections of photos/quotes on the Internet.
Readers are already familiar with the popular shows we cover, from The Vampire Diaries to Grey's Anatomy to Sons of Anarchy. But which new programs are we most excited for? I've listed my top five below.
The Secret Circle, The CW, Thursdays at 9 p.m. (premieres September 15). It's everything you love about The Vampire Diaries, but with witches in place of blood suckers. Britt Robertson leads a talented, attractive young cast in a show that follows The CW formula perfectly: good looks, teen angst, supernatural intrigue.
Revenge, ABC, Wedesndays at 10 p.m. (premieres September 21). The title says it all. Emily Van Camp stars as Emily Thorne,...
