  • Alias Flequillo may be, by the standards of the XXI Century, an "old" movie: simple plot, predictable twists, poor sound and static camera work. Nevertheless, it is an extremely B&W funny movie, an absolute "must" for those who can understand and enjoy rapid dialogues and the nuances of some lunfardo and typical porteño speak. "Alias Flequillo" could, indeed, be the ultimate test of understanding Argentine Spanish! Origenes Buendia (Jose Marrone) is forced by the Police to take the place of Atilio De Grossi (a.k.a. "Flequillo") with the intention of discovering the key accomplices of this most dangerous gangster ("public enemy #1"). Buendia, a simple TV repair-man is catapulted to the dangerous underworld of Buenos Aires and meets there an unbelievably funny assortment of criminals. Practically 100% of the characters are VERY funny in a simple, familiar, way. A VERY NICE MOVIE!
