  • "The Decoy" refers to women hired by venal private eye Kyle Stone to entrap hapless husbands so their wives (his clients) can profit from their infidelities. From Sin City, a top label for story-line porn, it's a good example of the art of sleek, clear short-story telling that adult filmmakers used to excel at, but has been abandoned in the 21st Century and replaced by gonzo.

The series of cases presented is necessarily episodic, but an uncredited script deftly comes to the point in later reels and ties the piece together with a wallop.

Kyle gets his sex scenes and is unobtrusive otherwise, ceding center stage to an interesting assortment of lesser-known (these days at least) femme talent. First up to bat is Chloe, a delightful performer who decoys Mickey G. by picking him up on a park bench and humping him behind nearby bushes. Mr. G.'s lovely wife, guest star Tina Tyler (not having sex in this feature for a change) is spying on hubby with Kyle and gets the goods on him.

This same routine works with Frank Towers, using two girls this time (Sindee Coxx and Alexandra Silk) posing as unlikely pool cleaners (!) to seduce the big fella. They get in some alluring lesbian action before he joins in.

I won't give away the good twists, involving suicide and murder, which are injected into the feature rather surprisingly as before the later reels things are going swimmingly for Stone. Central case involves powerhouse femme Johnni Black and her husband Vince Vouyer, styled as a hapless film noir hero who's dealing with a femme fatale.

Sex scenes are all well performed, bareback style (this was before the condom craze hit the leading porn labels). Several Black performers, including one playing Stone's secretary, are cast in supporting, non-sex roles, a nice touch for which I commend the honchos at Sin City, including fictitious director "Toney Belize", who receives credits on several releases from this label.
