  • I've seen Carrusel when it was broadcasted in Brazil, in 1991, I was 6 years old by that time and I really loved it. It was very touching the childrens' love for their teacher, and me and all my friends wanted a teacher like that. It was a soap opera that will be always remembered by the childrens who watched it.
  • Carrusel is one of the best TV shows for kids, and for sure the best Latin one! It is a funny, touching, educative Mexican telenovela which has kept me ,along with numerous other children, great company when we were younger(and it was on TV here in Greece).

It has nothing to do with todays kids shows that unfortunately have nothing to offer.

Carrusel entertained kids along with teaching them values and it's a pity it's not shown anymore.Every character was special and you couldn't help loving each and every one of them!(of course with exceptions!-to all Greek fans:do you remember Oraka , the headmistress that the kids called Koraka?)

    Viva Carrusel!
  • I'm not ashamed to admit that I grew up watching "Carrusel". At the time, if you didn't watch it, you were considered a "loser" in school (first grade I think). Since I've been an avid Horror fan since a kid, but "Carrusel" made me sure to remind that I had a pure soul.

This soapie was a breakthrough because it paved the road for future t.v. productions for children. Televisa has always supported children since "Mundo de Juguete" but in "Carrusel", it's all about a cast of talented kids.

But be aware that this soapie was also kind of clichèd mainly because of the kids personalities. We have the fat kid with a big kind heart, the rich blonde spoiled girl, the black poor guy who was in love with the blonde beauty but was humiliated by her, the redneck kid, the nerdy girl, the extremely poor but smart girl, etc.

Oh, yes, this show was entertaining as hell! We got situations that are common between young kids but to be honest, some issues also concerned their parents and even the teacher. Gabriela Rivero delivered a tender, great performance. Man! I wished I had a teacher such as beautiful and kind like her. She was the soul of the show. Armando Calvo (R.I.P.) also delivered a tender, moving performance as the school's gate keeper. I always wanted him to be my grandfather.

Overall, this is a great show for kids. It's tender, has adventures, and also deals with real life situations. Televisa used to produce quality t.v. and "Carrusel" it's a perfect example.

I was truly in love with Ludwika Paleta. Those were the days...

I grew up on this novella. I wish I could buy the season. Or do they even still play it? I would love for my children to see it.

Carrusel is the history of a class in the Escuela Mundial school. The children of this class have many adventures and life troubles. Miss Jimena is the teacher that guides the class teaching good things. Some of the students are: Cirilo a poor black boy who's in love with Maria Joaquina a blond and rich girl. Maria Joaquina doesn't love Cirilo and she is a very cruel girl. Jaime Palillo is a big fat boy son of a good and poor parents and he is not too smart, but have a good hart. Pablo is a menace, he's always doing jokes. Jorge Del Salto is another rich boy with very bad behavior except with Maria Joaquina, he is evil.

Don Fermin is another character, he is the old and friendly assistant of the school.

The series was very good and with a lot of crying scenes.
  • Carrusel De Las Americas Has Long-Lived Countless Hours Deep Within My Soul Ever Since My Childhood Days Which I've Passed Through An "Incredible" Amount Of Time Reminding Myself Of Where & Who I Grew Up With As An Infant And Therefore Going Into Adolescents, Then Making My Way Through Young Adulthood; It Was A Time Of Peace When My Entire Family Was Unified As The Glorious Family We Grew Up To Be, Yet As Unfortunate As It May Sound Part Of My Family Memories Came Crumbling Down Ever Since Both My Parents Went Threw With Their Divorce Just A Year Before My H. S. Graduation Came Along As I Witnessed My Family Unit Was Being Torn Apart...It Also Reminds Me Of Many Fond Moments I Lived Throughout My Childhood Times, Which Is Partially The Reason Why This Telenovela Means So Much To Me Simply Because It Brings Back Not Only Memorabilia I Lived Through As A Child But It Also Takes Me Back To The Incredible Moments When My 4 Grandparents Used To Live. However; Those Memories Live Deep Within Me Because They Have A Dear Significance With & For My Grandparents Which Is Why I Love This Program So Endlessly!!!!
  • Carrusel is timeless. The story of school children from various backgrounds, coming together and becoming friends. There's Cirilo, an African-Mexican, boy in love with Maria Joaquina, a selfcentered blond hair girl. David, a Jewish boy, in love with Valeria, Catholic girl. Carmen, a lonely girl, whose parents are breaking up, trying to keep her family together. Bibi, and American girl growing up in Mexico, trying to learn a different way of life. Jaime, the son of humble car mechanic, to big for his age. Jaime tries very hard to learn at school but is easily distructed. Miss Ximena, the teacher. She loves all the children and treats them as individuals.

You can now see "Carrusel" on Telefutura, (Starting 3/18/2002) daily at 7:00 AM.

You can see Ludwika Paleta on "Amigas & Rivales" on Univision, 7:00 PM, Daily.
  • Carrusel is a very touching and intresting tv show about some children in an elementary school in Mexico and their personal stories.

It is on 80's and through this show we can see the problems and the life style of mexican people on this decade!
