With the release of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’, the Dceu era officially wraps up, ushering in a new phase led by James Gunn and his rebranded Dcu cinematic universe. However, not all DC character projects will align with this new universe. Matt Reeves’ dark and gritty Batman-centric stories will exist as standalone “Elseworlds” tales, a decision consistent with Pattinson’s Batman not being part of the Dceu. Pattinson leads as Bruce Wayne, joined by Kravitz as Catwoman, Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Farrell as the Penguin.
While most roles were confirmed earlier, Keoghan’s portrayal of the Joker remains uncertain, despite Reeves confirming his role in the first movie post-release. Though Collider reported Keoghan’s return a year ago, official studio confirmation is still pending. Vanity Fair’s inquiry received no explicit denial from Keoghan, leading fans to speculate on the Joker’s potential minor role in the sequel,...

With the release of ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ Dceu is officially finished and the fans can look forward to a new era under the leadership of James Gunn and his new cinematic universe rebranded as Dcu.
But not all exciting projects based on DC characters will be part of the new cinematic universe. Notably, projects helmed by Matt Reeves that revolve around dark and gritty Batman’s world will be a part of the “Elseworlds” stories; this was a personal choice made by Matt Reeves, which means that practically nothing changed in that aspect since Pattison’s Batman wasn’t a part of the Dceu either.
Robert Pattinson will be portraying Bruce Wayne. Zoë Kravitz will reprise the role of Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, while Andy Serkis will return to take on the character of Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler and confidant. Colin Farrell will be returning as the Penguin,...

Daily soap operas have been an enduring part of the television landscape for decades and are still watched by millions of viewers worldwide. Some soaps started as early as 1950, and are still on air today. With roots in both television and radio, the genre loves sprawling plots and granular storytelling where even minor characters get plenty of screen time.
Many shows, like ITV's Coronation Street are still running after nearly 60 years, while others like Guiding Light were canceled after thousands of episodes were placed on the air. Despite the bad rep that soap operas get, they are still a favorite form of entertainment for many viewers and these daily soaps have formidable legacies.
Updated by Fawzia Khan on 22nd September, 2023: With new episodes of The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful airing now, fans of soap operas are in for new plots and twists on their favorite shows.

Christina Hendricks and “House of the Dragon’s” Paddy Considine have been tapped to lead “Small Town, Big Story,” a new Sky Studios drama from Chris O’Dowd
O’Dowd (“State of the Union”) created and will direct the six-part dramatic comedy, which tells the story of the effect on a small Irish village when a Hollywood production begins shooting on its doorstep and rattled residents struggle to keep a long-buried secret under wraps.
The series is an Equity production, which is being shot in the U.K. and Ireland, but Sky has emphasized that all cast agreements comply with SAG-AFTRA rules in light of the ongoing actors strike. The cast were contracted before the strike.
In the series, “Mad Men” star Hendricks is set to play Wendy Patterson, a hot-shot L.A. producer who grew up in the fictional Irish village of Drumbán while Considine stars as local doctor and community stalwart Seamus Proctor.

Barry Keoghan – the star whose terrific, twitchy perfomance as the sweet and lonely son of an abusive policeman in The Banshees of Inisherin captivated viewers and earned him an Oscar nod – is inspiring young people in his home city of Dublin.
The manager of a Dublin youth club where the Bafta-winning actor starred in one of his first dramatic roles has hailed the 30-year-old Irishman as a “fantastic role model” who is already an inspiration for the next generation.
Keoghan – who is also nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor alongside the veteran Irish actor Brendan Gleeson – was praised after dedicating his Bafta win to Ireland and “the kids that are dreaming to be something from the area I come from”.

In the dozen years since he began his acting career as a recurring cast member on the Irish soap opera “Fair City,” Barry Keoghan has played nearly three dozen film and TV roles in such popular projects as “Dunkirk” (2017) “Chernobyl” and “Eternals” (2021). Now, his work in “The Banshees of Inisherin” (in which he reunites with his “The Killing of a Sacred Deer” and “The Batman” co-star Colin Farrell) has brought him his first Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for both supporting actor and ensemble. This gives the 30-year-old a shot at making history as the youngest male winner of multiple SAG Awards for a single film.
Two of Keoghan’s supporting challengers, Ke Huy Quan (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”) and his “Banshees” castmate Brendan Gleeson, are also first-time SAG Award nominees who are concurrently vying for the ensemble prize. Paul Dano is also a dual contender for “The Fabelmans...

Throughout 20th-century Ireland, unwed women who fell pregnant were pilloried and sent to Catholic care homes at which their children were born, raised, and buried. At the Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, which operated between 1925 and 1961, 800 children are alleged to have died, their bodies later found entombed in the site’s septic tank.
Written and directed by Paddy Murphy, The Perished is bookended by heartbreaking titles that relate the real-world horrors surrounding this small Irish town, and a tender list of dedications to women around the world who have suffered as a result of their choice to have an abortion. Well-meaning though these messages may be, they could be better served by the feature that unfolds between them.

Today’s reveal has seen Sing Street breakthrough artist, Ian Kenny, join the likes of Woody Harrelson and Donald Glover in the film which is due for release in 2018.

The Dublin star played Tj Deegan in Fair City for six years before departing in 2012 and went on to receive high praise for his performance as antagonist Barry in last year’s John Carney hit Sing Street, which in our opinion was robbed of even a nomination for best original song at this year’s Oscars.

Today’s reveal has seen Sing Street breakthrough artist, Ian Kenny, join the likes of Woody Harrelson and Donald Glover in the film which is due for release in 2018.
However, Ian Kenny may have been revealed as another new cast member details of the character he may take on are being firmly kept under wraps until we are deemed worthy of this snippet of information.
The Dublin star played Tj Deegan in Fair City for six years before departing in 2012 and went on to receive high praise for his performance as antagonist Barry in last year’s John Carney hit Sing Street, which in our opinion was robbed of even a nomination for best original song at this year’s Oscars.

A superhero show without superpowers is like a carrot cake without luscious cream cheese frosting, and when it comes to Gotham, we’ve been eating our cake dry for far too long. Here’s the deal. A guy by the name of Stan has been distributing a new wonderdrug among the homeless of Gotham. It comes in a cute little mini-bottle imprinted with the words “Breathe Me.” Follow its advice, and you’ll gain a few hours of unbelievable super-strength. Do whatever you want with those few hours. Snap baseball bats in half like twigs. Hurl a pile of policemen off of you in dramatic fashion. Drink your weight in dairy products. Your choice. Then, when the allotted hours are up, your bones crumble apart and you die in agony. Naturally, Gordon, Bullock and the rest of Gcpd would prefer a population with regular human strength...
