Dramatizes, in an official Soviet government release, the rise of the Red Army and the revolution that they eventually won.
Even though he is not named, Leon Trotsky is shown briefly in this film. From the 1920s through to most of the 1980s, Trotsky name was banned from public mention and to display his image was considered a crime in most parts of the Republic. This is made all the more interesting, because this film was released as an official Soviet film in 1971.
