The story is about man who came to city with bag of gold, asking local bank owner, Edward Richards, to tell everyone that gold belongs to a man who helped stranger few years ago and now he wants to pay back. However, there is one trick - inside bag of gold is letter with words that kind man said to stranger, and those words changed life of that person. Meanwhile 20 of town residents receive strange letters from that stranger that they helped him and he wants to remind words, writing them in letter. This situation creates huge tense between residents of city that used to be peaceful place. Everyone thinks that gold belongs to them, while actually none of them gave help to stranger in past.
