Its good and worth PVRing to have a few on hand. Harvey is normally good except when he rambles on and on and over-hams it which happens at least once an episode.
The questions suck!!!! Either about canibals, cheating, or steve harvey himself.
Also the final $20k questions are either softballs or killer hard, never right in the middle.

I've been watching this primetime version of the show off/on for its 20+ years. Watched over 1k of the 2.3k daytime episodes of the 70's version hosted by Richard Dawson.
But what continues to crack me up, is when a family loses at the Fast Money bonus round and billionaire Steve Harvey tells the team of five people that they get to share a grand total of $835 (which divided by five is $167 per person.).
Why is the sympathetic reward prize for the bonus round still only $5 dollars per point?! $5 dollars!? It was $5 per point back when Richard Dawson hosted the show! Hasn't there been a little bit of inflation since the 70's?
At least on "Wheel of Fortune" if you fail to solve any puzzles correctly you get $1,000 per contestant as a consolation. But on "Family Feud", each member of the Fast Money bonus round team gets an average of $160-$170, barely enough for their Greyhound bus ticket to get back home.
Come on guys! Let's see some real money!!
I know paying Steve Harvey to host the show is expensive, but contestants are winning $200k-$300k on other primetime game shows. Which is just slightly more than $167 per person.

Since the current version of Family Feud debuted in 1999, there have been four hosts. starting with Louie Anderson who was awful, except for his sign off "Be good to your family." He was replaced by Richard Karn, who despite his lack of hosting experience was a slight improvement over Anderson. They came John O'Hurley and the show became even better to watch.
When O'Hurley decided to leave the show, FremantleMedia made the right decision in hiring Steve Harvey as host. His energy, enthusiasm and very funny interaction with the contestants have turned the marginally rated game show into a hit. Ratings shot up nationally by 40% since Harvey became host and a number of stations (including Minneapolis-St. Paul) have moved Family Feud into much better time slots.
My parents and I usually watch the show when we have dinner on Thursday nights and to me, Harvey is definitely the right host for the show. Unlike a number of comedians who hosted game shows, he doesn't over power the families and he's very quick witted and thinks on his feet so well, which is important for a successful game show host.
The only dislike I have about this current incarnation is that a lot of the questions have become raunchier than the last two versions. Also, they shouldn't have let announcer Burton Richardson go. He is a very good game show announcer and to me, replacing him with former N'Sync member Joey Fatone was a bad decision.
Fortunately, the ratings turnaround has sparked a renewal through 2015. Hopefully Harvey will still be hosting the show with one of the best formats ever invented.

I never really paid attention to this show but recently I decided to watch the full 30 mins of it. One question...
What the heck is the point of playing the first two rounds if you can lose them both and still win by winning the third round??????

Steve Harvey is carrying this show. He is the entertainment... the silent looks, the pregnant pauses, the sarcastic quips... all work. He is worth every penny he gets paid.
The game format... is excellently thought out. The questions are funny and thought provoking.
The execution of the production in filming is terrible. It is almost impossible to play at home... for the same reasons that Who Wants to be a Millionaire also misses the bull's eye.
The answer board appears only when waiting for a result of the question, and is impossible for the viewer at home to stare at and attempt to play at home... because neither the question nor the answers thus far are on screen. I really don't care for the cutaways to the other team making chopping motions while the first team is coming up with an answer.
Clearly, the question and answers should be in a small box in a corner of the screen, constantly on screen so that viewers can feel like they are a part of the action. I cannot imagine anyone watching who does not want to participate at home.
Once again... Steve Harvey ten stars. Game basic format ten stars. Production and execution of filming of same... five stars.

I liked the revamped Family Feud with Steve Harvey. It's the same show without the creepy closeness of the original host. Although, I think they should increase the prize money.

We love watching Family Feud. Only thing that bothers us is we are always wondering what the answers that were needed for fast money round. They tell you the number one answer, but i would love to know what number 2 is also. Cant find any way to email the show so I thought i would write a review in hopes someone will see it,

Steve you of all men should know better than to be so ruthless with SE of theseen. You think they are stupid so you put them down! Shame on u Steve. Men get put down enough by women and society. You guys DEFINATELY take their head of the family roles by putting women as the leader when it should be the husband or father! Call me old school but I think we should put men back in their place. Head of the family!

I love watching the old reruns with Richard Dawson and Ray Combs. But ever since Steve Harvey took the reins, the questions are loaded to invoke filthy answers. An prime example is What is the hairiest part of your husband? The answer, "His balls." It's no longer a family show, but I guess that's the way of television these days.
This is the only game show that I am watching everyday in the YouTube. Even I watch an episode again and again, the fun never fades. Steve Harvey is the best man to host the show. In comparing with other games shows, the prize is not that big but the excitement and the happiness it gives to the players is enjoyable to see.

I no longer watch family feud after John O'Hurley quit hosting. Steve Harvey is obnoxious. He takes over the show with his fake laughing and lame jokes. He don't know when to stop. He drags it on and on. It is not a family show anymore. Vulgar and sexual. Why? I would not let my grandkids watch. Too bad a good show is ruined.

After watching the Family Fued, I've come to the conclusion that the future of the show is finding a host who has the light touch of a Richard Dawson. Richard kept it light with the guests and connected with people. E Channel's story of the "Family Fued" was wonderful and after watching it the viewer see's that Dawson's touch was the most potent for the show. Sadly, you can't bring Richard back as too much time has passed since his era ended but any future host of the Fued needs the "people skills" he had to succeed.
Louie Anderson came off very well in the E Channel story about the Family Fued. He seems like a good and decent man. It's just that with Louie now gone as the host the new host will have to be more comfortable with people than Louie had been for the show to succeed. It appeared that Louie never was confortable with the silly banter between the host and guests that is neccessary for the show to succeed.

First off, I must say that this is a fun game show. Also, I'm not sure if I've seen every episode. However, I do know the show very well. Every time I watch it, I have a lot of fun playing along and watching. This makes me long to be a contestant. The thing I like most about it are the questions. Despite the fact that I don't know that many answers, I still have fun playing along. I hope that it will be on the WDCA network for years to come so I can keep playing along and watching. If that happens, I will be really happy. Before I wrap this up, I'd like to say that I'll always remember this show in my memory forever. Now, in conclusion, I hope that you catch it one day before it goes off the air for good.

There ARE dirty moments but my Grandma and me love this! Steve Harvey is SO funny! There are some things we don't like(one woman announced that she sticks her finger in people's butts to check their poop for a living) and it's a little racist(blacks vs whites) but we love to guess answers and laugh at Steve's remarks. There is one question that asked "What is something you bury in the backyard?" a woman responded "Placenta." Steve, after harassing her for her response said "If this placenta is on the board right here-i'll-i'll give you MY placenta!" Have fun, just know it's dirty at times-but not as bad as The Newlywed Game.

This has long been one of my favorite game shows on TV. However, I think, Steve Harvey over acts and over talks. This is somewhat annoying. Some of the questions are not "Family" oriented.

.....but I have been watching it because of Steve Harvey who has been doing a far better job as host. He is far funnier than the afore-mentioned hosts. The show does wander off into adult territory, but it's a whole lot of fun, and the looks on his face are a wonder to behold, especially when he gets pranked by whoever sets up the answers to be revealed by the ring of the bell. Some families are more cute than others, but they seem to be having a grand old time. And that's the goal of game shows like this one. Catch FAMILY FEUD and have some fun.

The show has gotten SOOOO BAAAAD! The questions are dumb and the answers are even worse! And it appears that now the show only has celebrities; I guess as an attempt to make it more palatable than having the trailer trash and ghetto families they've had over recent years. It's not working. It's just time for this show to go away.

Family Feud with Richard Karn (Al Borland of Home Improvement) is the best and surviving show on syndication today. With the fact for the whole 3 seasons with no new game shows it is now likely to stay that way forever. But the thing about Family Feud is that this show stays fresh, exciting and always the best surveys, questions and answers on every show! I think the best thing that was brought to this show IMHO was that in the 2002-03 season Richard became the host and the 5 day champions were reinstated. In the 2003-04 season the 300 point rule was reinforced, and the tiebreaker round was in play. That gave the other team a fair chance of winning the game for the team and that gave the game a whole new facelift for the show isn't that exciting! So for that I give Family Feud a total of:
9.5/10 This show was the best with Richard Karn! Keep it alive on TV!

These questions are disgusting. Which leads to disgusting answers. It supposed to be a family show not something like this.
My mom watches this show in disgust because she thinks it will one day be like it used to be . but she mainly sits in front of it and barley cracks a smile. See what you did to your dedicated viewers?
As someone who doesnt support your show but lives in a house hold with someone who does. I sincerely hope it goes off air. It is disgusting it is nasty and too sexual. Who ever is responsible for the questions is sick irresponsible

This is the only show I watch on TV, it is so funny and I love Steve Harvey. He makes me laugh sometimes to near tears. Some of the answers to the questions are also hysterically funny. Its a relief to sit down and watch a funny show after a hard day at work and all the world happenings. No need to watch any drama series because they all get cancelled. This is a show thats been on for years and I really enjoy it.

I love this game, it's an all time favorite but the host determines your ultimate takeaway. Steve Harvey is a funny guy but he brings a racially biased attitude to it and I'm about tired of it, it's time to call him out on it. It's no coincidence that for the past two or three seasons, there's always a white family playing against a black family. And he favors the #3@@ out of the black ones ALL the time, he parties over there with them, jokes with them, high fives them, and is generally happier when they win a round or the whole game. When interacting with the white side he's all business, asks the question and moves on. It's very disappointing that he hosts the game in this manner and that the production team supports if not encourages this racial bias.
