An Australian truck driver writes romance novels. His engaged, tomboyish, crop duster best friend's name, Ruby Vale, is unasked used as author. Complications arise when his novel takes off. Will they remain friends or...?
Writer-director Antony J. Bowman got the idea for the film when he read about a Texan truck driver who also wrote romantic novels.
Old bush rule, Ruby: "Don't jeopardise your life for a dog".
Ruby Vale: It was Lance. And you call yourself a vet.
Four minutes into the film, we see a cue ball break up a racked set of pool balls. Ruby then picks up the cue ball, moves it a couple of feet, and plays a shot, but the numbered balls are in their initial positions again.
