Five Fingers of Steel

It begins with uninvited guests at a wedding destroying the place. The bride and groom's family are too polite to stop the bullies but they manage to slug a few at the end. This escalates quickly and the bad guys set up the escort company to be robbed of their consignment. The frame up is so beyond reasonable doubt but the bad guys come out on top.

In 1982 the curtain was coming down on the golden age of martial arts movies. Everything that was possible to do in this genre had been done to death. This movie takes a story line and characters that have been done dozens of times and does it again with nothing different at all. Hwang Jang-Lee playing a good guy instead of a white eyebrows villain is the only morsel of creativity in this movie. Watching this movie to say you have seen all of Hwang Jang-Lee's movies is really the only reason to watch it once.
