Joe Liebgott was much older than the other Easy Company men, being thirty when the war ended. Ross McCall, who played him, was twenty-four during filming. It was the opposite with Denver 'Bull' Randleman and Buck Compton, whose actors were over ten years older than their characters.

In the episode where Easy is rescuing the British soldiers, Bull Randelman is seen in the extreme foreground. He is in a boat paddling along with the rest of the soldiers, but he does not have a paddle in his hands.
